Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons

In-Box Contents

BoAt Lunar Discovery has quite a few things in the box. Here’s a YouTube Short.

The watch itself is included in the box. Then, there is a user manual, a few stickers, a BoAt Warranty card, a catalog of other BoAt products, and a charging cable.

Built Quality 4/5

BoAt Lunar Discovery Black Color Looks

This is our fourth BoAt smartwatch over the last 4 years and BoAt is still top class. For 1500 Rs the built quality is good. They have maintained their standard.

Starting with the strap which is TPU rubber material. It will hopefully go on for a few months. The frame of the watch is good quality too. The plastics used are solid. The watch feels premium and expensive.

Also, there’s IP67 which will protect from dust water splash, rain and sweat, etc. Good job BoAt went with IP67.

Note:- Word of caution the screen has a flat surface so the damage will come on the watch Frisia or dial. Get a screen protector from here. Hence for built quality, BoAt Lunar gets 4/5.

Look and Feel (4.5/5)

BoAt Lunar Discovery Smartwatch Built Quality
BoAt Lunar Smartwatch Review

The first thing you will notice is the weight. It’s very lightweight at 25 grams. It feels like you are not wearing one! I prefer metal and weight on my watch. That’s why my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE (Review) has a classic stainless steel case from Spigen (Review).

SGW4 Built Quality
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE

Coming back to BoAt Lunar it’s all matte design and looks killer in black color. Except the strap hook and red ring around the crown, everything is black. To some extent, it gives an impression of SGW4!

Can Anybody wear a BoAt Lunar Smartwatch
BoAt Lunar Smartwatch Review

As you can see, the 22-mm strap has 15 holes making it comfortable for any wrist size. We have plenty of sizes here and it has been great with tons of comfort. So for looks and feel, we would give BoAt Lunar Discovery a 4.5/5.

Screen Quality And Touch Controls (4.5/5)

BoAt Lunar Discovery offers a 1.39-inch HD circular TFT display with a 240X240p resolution. As of now, there’s no mention of brightness nits. So how’s the real user experience of a month?

Well, the display is quite bright outdoors even under direct sunlight. I never did full brightness even outdoor with dark wallpaper. Secondly, the low brightness is also toned down it will not burn your eyes at night. So for brightness no issues.

The display output is also good. Watch faces look good and overall UI is visually appealing from far as well as close. The touch is quite good.

Smartwatch Features (5/5)

2025 is a good year for BoAt smartwatches. With BoAt Lunar you can experience premium features. Like turn-by-turn navigation, BPI index monitoring, IP69 water, and dust resistance.

There’s also a watch face studio for custom watch faces, 700+ active modes, Bluetooth calling, and rewards for workout completion.

Not just that, you also have your buddies who are using BoAt smartwatches, challenge them, and see daily progress. There’s a wellness crew to challenge you with tasks.

Based on your activity and workout targets you will earn rewards as points that can be used. For health and wellness, you get heart rate and SPo2 monitoring and you can set the interval based on your needs.

There is also an energy score that BoAt calculates based on the hour of sleep or the workout you did a day ago. This score determines how much energy you have for the day. Very essential and tuff to leave.

You also have utility features like smartphone camera controls, weather updates, music controls, alarm, find my watch or phone, spot watch, timer, and live cricket scores!

So you get a feature-packed smartwatch that can keep your social notifications, calls, fitness, health, and daily routine checked! BoAt Lunar Discovery gets a 5/5 for features!

Inside Out Customisation (5/5)

A while ago, we picked Noise Twist (Review) to have a better watch face customized and BoAt had a lackluster experience.

However, BoAt has a separate app for new watches like BoAt Crest. It offers the best-predefined watch faces. What about customized wallpapers?

Well, you will love the BoAt Crest app with your new BoAt Lunar Discovery. There are so many options like font style, font size, position, etc and the result is also similar on the watch face after setting up!

Have a self look. The watch face looks quite similar to what I was expecting though the image is not doing the justice!

watchface
Watchface customization on BoAt Lunar Discovery

On top of the customization screen, there are so many options for free! Recently Noise has taken the ability to create custom watch faces unless you opt in for a paid subscription. So kudos to BoAt for keeping the basic and most personal things free.

As for outside customization, you can change the strap to any 22mm watch straps are readily available offline and in online stores like Amazon.

So for customisation, BoAt Lunar Discovery gets a 5/5.

Sport Modes, Sleep, Navigation & Setup

When you set up the watch, you will be asked about major permissions like Location access and Contacts, allow “all” as they are part of a bigger plan.

The watch has 20 default workout modes including walking, treadmill, running, badminton, football, basketball, kabaddi, etc.

For many these modes will be more than sufficient. If not, the BoAt Crest app has around 700 workouts to choose from.

Usually, many smartwatches stop here and BoAt does keep a few things up its sleeve! And that’s the customizable workout plan based on your BMI. More about it below.

How Does it Record Sleep?

Sleep

Sleep Tracking on BoAt Lunar Discovery

Has it ever happened to you that after waking you still feel tired or go back to bed? Then there’s something that you should check out.

And that’s the quality and quantity of sleep. Some people say 8 hours should be perfect. Some say 7 hours. TBH, I am more active the next day with only 5 hours of sleep.

I know many people like me are night owls! Here’s my observation. The watch can monitor light sleep, deep sleep, and rem sleep. All have their meaning and effects on the body.

Moreover, BoAt Lunar also tells you ways to improve your quality of sleep by offering suggestions based on daily activity and workouts.

As per sleep records, I noticed the watch records a similar number of hours, however, the start and sleep times are very different. Maybe it can fixed with a software update?

For testing, I put it against Noise Twist and both recorded accurate hours while BoAt had a wrong sleeping start and waking up.

Also note: Budget smartwatches are beginners’ first step into fitness and health so do not expect too much.

For eg Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE (Review) has a more serious sleep tracker. They can track sleep even if you wake up for nature calls and then go back to sleep. Budget watches can’t do that.

Navigation on BoAt Lunar Discovery Smartwatch?

Navigation
Navigation Test on BoAt Lunar Discovery

For me, Navigation was not a reason to buy this watch but yes, people on my team like it. So how does it work?

First and foremost, on your phone via the BoAt Crust app, search the destination. Since it uses MapMyIndia, it has most of the place market. I did not have a problem in New Delhi.

Once you have found your place, press start to begin the navigation. Using the crown will help to see the next few instructions.

Overall, it’s decent navigation if you are walking and don’t feel like taking your phone out in a shady area to avoid snatching.

How Accurate Are The Health Results?

Here’s something to know, that budget smartwatches are just the stepping stone into fitness.

They can track basic vitals like workout duration, distance covered, calories burned, average heart rate during workouts, steps taken, average pace, map view, etc.

There are some variations of tracking based on workouts. Let’s say the cycling session will also include a map or track view, etc.

So how accurate are the results? Well, the watch gives similar results to the Noise Twist smartwatch which is almost similarly priced.

If you remember when we covered the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE, we found it quite similar to Noise Twist. So it’s not wrong to say that BoAt Lunar Discovery track records quite accurately.

It can be a good watch for beginners, then move to Garmen smartwatches, Fitbit, Apple, or Samsung for more advanced fitness training.

How’s the BoAt Crust App UI/UX? 3.5/5

It’s decent at best. Though the watch stays responsive always everywhere some UI elements need brushing.

The weather graphics are simple. In the same way, the media control is there but you will not know the volume as there’s no slider!

Pressing the press and minus button changes things but no visual feedback. The crown or activity button sometimes snags and starts working automatically.

Again, these are not major issues but can hamper your overall experience. To sum up the app experience, BoAt has given great features but a little more time on the UI and UX would have been better.

So that’s about the watch, what about the app? Here’s more!

Fitness
Health Monitor Using BMI on BoAt Lunar Discovery

BoAt Crust is a great Fitness and workout app that will blow your mind. It’s not always about the workout modes it’s more about the health, the BMI tracker, offering tasks based on your body type-related task with a schedule.

Here you have a BMI or Body Mass Index feature where you will enter your height and weight. Based on the data, it will present to you a report. Thankfully, I had a normal rating. However, based on that, it gave me a plan to keep up and improve!

It’s been a while since I tested a BoAt smartwatch that worked with the Crust app, I loved it. Workouts recorded are quite accurate as we have talked about above but this one takes a deeper route to explain what needs to be done on a personal level. Some life-changing tips to have a better impact on health.

Who Should Buy BoAt Lunar Discovery Smartwatch?

Compare BoAT VS Noise Smartwatch
Compare BoAT VS Noise Smartwatch

This smartwatch is perfect for someone who wants to get fit and follow a workout schedule and customized workouts.

Another reason will be customizations. BoAt’s Crest app is feature-loaded and needs time to understand the functionality. We love the Watch Face customization on BoAt. The watch face we designed and the output was very similar.

Workout features and 700+ mode selection. The watch is capable of storing 20 workouts while most competitors only offer 10 in the watch. The battery backup is great too. It can easily last 4 to 5 days based on your workouts and brightness settings.

If you like to take calls via the smartwatch, you will enjoy that too. We took numerous calls while riding cycles or walking/ jogging and did not receive any complaints.

Is it All Perfect?

Nothing is perfect; everything has scope for improvement. Like, the UI needs more polish. Some elements like weather icons and text, some watch faces feel pixelated, and when pausing a workout the timer keeps going for a few seconds.

Sometimes the watch shows a different caller name when in fact someone else is calling!

Since the watch is new, these things can be rectified in the upcoming updates. In the last few weeks of testing, we did not encounter anything major like snag or auto restarting.

So Should You Buy BoAt Lunar Discovery Smartwatch?

BoAt Lunar Discovery Review
BoAt Lunar Discovery Smartwatch Review

Overall, we do not mind recommending the BoAt Lunar Discovery smartwatch to anyone. Almost all major things like step recording, sleep tracking, calorie burning, and distance covered are quite accurate.

We compare these results with SGW4 or even Noise Twist of a similar price. Please keep in mind, that these smartwatches are not medical equipment hence should not rely on these 100%. If you feel something is wrong, consult a doctor.

These statistics are fine to understand where you are heading. After 1 month of daily use, we are quite happy with the watch and you can consider it. Below are our recommendations for smartwatches you can check out for under 2000 Rs.

  • Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE Review | The Best*!
If you dream of owning a premium smartwatch at a “not so premium” price then the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is a perfect example. We bought Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE about a year ago and even today we prefer it for workouts and health data collection. Should you buy one? Is it worth it or should you go with a non-cellular variant and save some money? So this Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE review is all you need. Note: Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has great Android compatibility. Whereas, on iOS not so much. This means if you have an Android then consider buying it. For iPhone users, the Apple Watch SE Second Gen is the best option. Even Fitbit can be considered too. Let’s get back to review. We got onto premium smartwatches a little late but are confident that this smartwatch is worth the price! Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is available in two models and two different sizes. We’ll talk about that below. Why One Should Buy Samsung Galaxy Watch 4? If you have an Android phone, go for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or the SGW4. What makes it so special? What about the major letdowns? All are covered below without user experience of 1 year. So let’s begin with why you should buy it. #1 Great Built Quality So what makes it premium? Well, the built quality does speak quality. Especially the metal frame, Samsung calls it Armour Aluminium Frame and it’s quite tough. Along with that, the polish not only improves the durability but also the visual appeal of the watch. Over the last year, it has managed to get a few scratches but it’s been into brutal use-case scenarios as well! The matte polish is tough and does not get scuffed that easily. The buttons still have a tactile impact. Though there’s no rotating crown, the buttons do work and respond immediately. There’s not a slight hobble between the buttons which shows how good Samsung has worked on the built quality. As far as the band goes, I am personally not a fan of the rubber bands. The very next day, we upgraded to the Spigen Metal band (Review) which just enhanced the feel of the watch. #2 Elegant Design; Truly Classic! Smartwatches come in two shapes: Circular or Square. One can like anything or both, we share the same experience. Though circular watches show more content they do cut out on the sides which on some apps does not look good. While the square ones seem small for some reason. I prefer the circular design more than the square one. Let’s get back to the Watch 4 review. It’s available in many color shades; if you go with a 44mm or Large variant you can choose between Black, Green, or Silver. The 40mm comes in Black (shown above), Pink Gold, and Silver. The red accent around the Home button on every color is a nice touch though! Another good thing about this watch is tons of customization. You can have many bands. Not only you can buy from Samsung but any 20mm band will work with any of the variants of the Samsung Watch4. On Amazon itself, you have more than 100 bands to choose from! #3 Best Workout Modes If you are an active person and prefer to participate in many activities like walking, jogging, cycling, cardio, playing sports, etc then this watch will not disappoint. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 features more than 90 sports modes. This means you can select any mode and try out new workouts as well! The best part about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the Auto Select workout. It will judge a workout you are performing and allow you to select it without actually going into the workout modes and making a choice manually. And secondly, the fitness trackers and sensors work best. If you are looking for a good smartwatch that can track the data quite precisely then it’s the one to get. Like all the smartwatches this one can also record steps, calories burnt, duration, and other workout-related data. But Samsung went more motivated and in some modes like running and cycling it helps you track even more statistics. #4 Best Body Vitals Monitoring This was among the top reasons for buying Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. Why? Though many watches focus on workouts and statistics, however, this one takes the high road! You get BioActive Sensor, which helps Samsung monitor your BIA data like your weight, skeleton muscle, fat mass, body fat, etc! All of this by just pressing both buttons for 14 seconds! Based on that data, you can set your challenges or fitness goals, and the watch will keep track of them and motivate you once you achieve them. if that’s not enough, you can always challenge your friends and check their daily progress. Trust me, it truly motivates more than the BIA statistics! The BioActive Sensor can also help you track the heart rate, blood pressure, and even ECG (It’s not available in India even as of today). While we are at it, you get a blood oxygen monitor as well as sleep tracking. #5 Good & Bright Display Another solid reason to buy the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the display. Be it any variant you get, the display comes with a corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection as well as an always-on display. Even after 1 year of use, you can hardly see any staches on it. I’ve never applied any screen protection on Watch4. In fact, during workouts or while running I’ve taken some drops, as the watch did not suffer any damage. However, the Spigen metal strap does get a little banged up. The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in 2 sizes and thus two different resolutions. The 44mm watch comes with a 1.4-inch display with a resolution of 450X450. While the 40mm comes with a 1.2-inch screen with a 396X396 resolution. How good is the display? Well, it’s quite sharp and has tons of brightness on offer. Since the display is AMOLED, the blacks blend in the bezels quite well and sometimes the watch feels like a “classic” non-digital watch. if you stay outdoors most of the day, then staying around 50 to 60% brightness is more than enough. Even under direct sun, you will not feel cranking the full brightness. In the above shop, the brightness is just 30%. So you can make a guess how bright the display will be. Why Not to Buy The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4? Like all the above points, you can confidently pick up a new Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. But this does not mean the smartwatch does not have its issue. Let’s talk about those. #1 Compatibility If your primary device is an iPhone then stay away from this watch. It has no compatibility with iOS. Like nothing, it will not even pair via Bluetooth! Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is only meant for use with Android be it any brand. As far as Android support goes, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 works with Android 6.0 and above. I wonder if there would be hardly anyone using Android 6 in 2023! So good job there Samsung. #2 Battery Backup The second reason to avoid this watch is the battery backup. And to be precise, the 40mm variant with LTE support. Since there’s so much happening with the watch like fitness tracking as well as the heart rate monitoring, it drains out totally within 2 days of use. My use case scenario involves a lot of workouts like walking, jogging, weight training, etc. Along with that, calls are unavoidable and the speaker quality is good too. During workouts, you need your favorite music to pump in and then music streaming apps come into the picture. So you can get the gist; my use is quite heavy duty and thus 2 days of battery backup is not bad! This battery backup is not a major issue as most flagship watches other than the Apple Watch Ultra give similar statistics. But the fact is, these premium watches are the “true smartwatches”. Unlike the budget ones that we see which are the modded versions of the fitness band. These premium watches offer many more features like App support like installing Spotify or other streaming apps. Saving workout stats for longer durations. This is all possible thanks to the WearOS operating system. So, if you are fine with up to 2 days of battery backup on intensive use then you can go with a 40mm variant. But it’s better to invest a little more and get the 44mm model. Higher battery backup will help in the long run. Which Samsung Galaxy Watch Varient to Buy? Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is available in two sizes as well as two different models. You can either get a smaller 4.2 cm or 4.6 depending upon your wrist diameter. What’s the difference? The primary difference lies in the overall size of the smartwatch; More touch area, bigger dial, and more covering of your arm. Which is better for me? Well, if you have a thin hand or a slim wrist you can go with 4.2 size. It will be comfortable and will not “feel” big on your wrist. if you have a thick wrist you can go with the 4.6 variant. It will cover up more space and more screen area is always appreciated. As size is decided let’s talk about use case scenarios. Do you plan to go hiking or walking without your smartphone? Do you consider it a hassle to carry a smartphone during your intense workout? Or perhaps you want to have a tiny screen and enjoy life but wish to be connected without family for emergency communication then you should consider getting the LTE version. Since my screen time was way too much I wanted to wander around the hills to different places to connect with nature, it is the best investment I’ve ever made. So if any of the above scenarios makes you take the step then do it, you will not regret it. However, if you work out, while the phone is always in your close network, it’s better to go with the Bluetooth version and save some money. Both models have other internal differences as well. Here’s a table to help you choose better. Feature 44mm or 4.6cm 40mm or 4.2cm Color 3; Black, Green, & Silver Black, Pink Gold, & Silver Weight (Grams) 30 26 Screen Size 1.4inch Display 1.2inch Display Resolution 450X450 396X396 Battery (mAh) 361 247 Check Price Amazon Amazon Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 44mm vs 40mm Differences We Are Wrapping up! • Noise Twist Smartwatch Review | Best Wearable Under 1500 Rs?
Noise has launched a new smartwatch under 2000 Rs that offers 100+ sport modes, an auto workout selector, IP68 water resistance, and a 1.39 circular dial watch. Does it offer what it claims or it’s just another budget smartwatch in the already overloaded market? Let’s find out in this Noise Twist smartwatch review! At PadhkeDekho, we’ve tested several smartwatches you can check out here like Noise Pulse Grand (Review), or the BoAt Wave Lite (Review) in the budget segment. On the Premium side, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE (Review) & Apple Watch SE Second Gen (Review Soon). With these smartwatches, we know what to check and how to extract the best of these tiny wearables. Today, we present to you, the Noise Twist Smartwatch Review! In this Noise Twist smartwatch review, you will find the pros and cons, box contents, built quality, looks, features, sports testing, battery backup, calling test, and finally our verdict with recommendations. With that said, let’s start with the Pros and cons. How Durable is the Noise Twist Watch? The dial is metal while the strap is rubber/TPU material. As a result, it feels comfortable and premium with a little weight on the wrist. It’s not the “most lightweight watch” at around 120 grams but it does not feel heavy even when worn at night. The display or dial is circular and the diameter is big as a result it looks big on the hand next to the square smartwatches. Budget smartwatches don’t come with any screen protection so it’s better to get screen guards otherwise you will end up with scratches within a week! The rubber strap makes it strong and ideal for workouts as it will not get scratched easily. Here’s our after 2 months of aggressive use! Still no damage. For me though, it’s perfect and feels good on the wrist. Hence, the Noise Twist smartwatch gets a 9/10. Does Noise Twist Smartwatch Look Good? The highlight of the Noise Twist smartwatch is the round dial. The circular dial with red treatment on the bottom button visually enhances the look. Since we bought it in Blue the dial offers a matte blue look and black bezels look good. Currently, the Noise Twist smartwatch comes in many color schemes like Blue (showcased above), Black, Gold Wine, Grey, and Pink. From any angle, it doesn’t look cheap or budget-centric. If you are attending a marriage or formal function get a steel band and change the watch face to any chronograph design. You will be good to go, trust me! How Much Noise Twist Smartwatch is Customisable? The strap size is 22mm, which opens wide customization options from the official Noise store and offline market. As far as the watch faces go, you will not be disappointed either. The app features 100+ watch faces and they keep adding new ones. If you wish to go above a notch, you can make your custom watch face with images and fonts you like! Unlike other brands, Noise custom watch faces “look” exactly as you “designed”. Here’s a quick impression of the desired output. That’s pretty much you can do the “custom watch face”. custom watch face also means you must ditch the steps, distance covered, or even calories burnt. For customizability, we couldn’t have asked more. Hence, the Noise Twist smartwatch gets 9/10. How’s The Display of Noise Twist Smartwatch? Noise Twist smartwatch packs in a big 1.38-inch TFT display a huge display next to a square smartwatch. Moreover, the bezels are not very intriguing. Here’s a watch from Fireboltt which has seen better days! Just compare the screen size and the bezels. Noise has done a good job. If you look closely the bezels are almost similar but noise has done the markings as well as the text Home and Sports which covers the bezels. Also, the screen size is bigger on Noise. Score Card Value Display Size 1.39inch HD Display No Brightness Nits 500 Display Type TFT Resolution 240X240(px) Check Deal Price Amazon The display is quite good for the price. The 500 nits brightness is enough for outdoor use. Even under direct sun light level 3 brightness does the work. You don’t need to max out the brightness. What about the touch responsiveness? It’s good too. All the touch inputs are registered even if your hands are sweaty or wet. We even got a screen guard for protection and it still works well. So, does it have the best display under 1500 Rs? yes, it is. But if you can add a few hundred Rs and get an HD display like the Noise Twsit PRO it offers HD display. What’s better? The resolution improves and watch faces look more live. With that said, Noise Twist is not bad either. Therefore, the Noise Twist smartwatch gets an 8.5/10 for Screen and Display. Noise Twist Smartwatch Features #1 Auto Workout Selector: You are going for a morning cycling workout and after some minutes you realize you did not start the workout. It happens! But with the Noise Twist smartwatch, you will get a prompt with a few selections that the watch thinks you are doing. Just tap on the one you are doing and it starts to record. We experienced that, on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE! #2 Calculator: To some extent, it’s not common among budget smartwatches. It can be useful in many situations when you need to make quick calculations and your phone is not with you. For me though, it’s not a big deal but I do get a lot of messages to know whether XYZ watch has a calculator or not! #2 Flashlight: We prefer Noise smartwatches for this feature. Believe it or not, it’s quite a useful feature. The screen gets quite bright and helps to get a safe passage to move. On top of it, the light remains on for very long too. We tested it for about 5 minutes and it did not go off. Just don’t tap on the screen. #4 Calling: This is quite common on smartwatches with calling. if this is your first smartwatch with calling then you would love it. You can accept calls, reject calls, dial a number, search for a contact, and make the call—no need to do that via your phone. Just make sure the watch and the phone are connected. #5 Standalone Alarms: Many budget smartwatch allows applying alarms via the native app on the target device. But Noise added a dedicated alarm app that even does not need to be connected to a device. Just set the alarm be it one time or a repeat one or want to hit the snooze no problem, you can do that on the Noise Twist smartwatch. #6 Great Sport Selection Modes (100+): Noise smartwatches always impress folks who are workout-centric. You can choose between 100+ modes as per your liking. It’s not like, the watch has all the modes “on the watch” You can select the main category from the app and it will then show you specific ones in the Workout Testing section. #7 Silent Mode. Just like on your phone, “Silent” when enabled will give you all the notifications but without any alert sound. Be it a message or call, it will just glow on the screen and that’s about it. Adds a little convenience and makes you aware of what’s happening. #8 DND Mode: Unlike, SIlend Mode where notifications are shown on the display, DND Mode does not even glow the LED. It’s best when you don’t wish to know any updates or wish to be a ghost for a few hours. Noise Twist smartwatch packs in good features as well as workout modes and truly justifies the price of 1500! Hence, 9/10 for features! Noise Twist Workout Review Smartwatch brands try to market their products with a high number of workout models. The higher the better is the Mantra for success. Noise did the same with Noise Twist and gave 100 sports modes! If you are a workout-motivated person, you will certainly like Noise smartwatches. But there’s a catch! The smartwatch does not “come equipped” with all fitness modes. You will need to make the selection via the NoiseFit App. Which is compatible with iPhones with iOS version above 9 and for Android it’s version 8. Don’t worry when setting up, the app will ask you about your goals and target for getting a smartwatch. Depending upon the workout you performed the watch will keep track of vitals as any smartwatch can but we found the smartwatch was able to store information about the latest 20 workouts in the watch itself. This is quite hard to believe on a budget smartwatch. We experienced this on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE which is expensive than the Noise Twist smartwatch. Now, let’s say you went for a quick cycle, and here’s all it will record! During a workout, you can pause, resume a workout, change soundtracks and even if you get a call it will still monitor the workout. You can also set up your goal for certain calories burnt, distance covered, or steps taken. The watch will vibrate to confirm ok competition. As far as data recording goes, the workout statistics are fairly accurate which gives an idea exactly where your health is going. It’s better to have a smartwatch than a phone during a workout. What About Trackers and Tracking? Noise Twist smartwatch comes with the following sensors: SP02, heart tracking, stress monitoring, breathing meditation, sleep tracking, female cycle tracking, etc. So for the price, it packs in some good features. Let’s get to the basics; how accurate is the Noise Twist smartwatch? Let’s talk about the step meter, distance covered, calories burnt, sleep tracking, health rate monitoring, SP02, stress monitoring, etc. The step counter is mostly accurate. We’ve tested it alongside the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 LTE as well as the Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen and it’s quite close. You can say a variance for a few hundred steps is there. But hey, those are costly watches! One good thing is, that the steps do not count when you are riding a scooter or motorcycling (a major problem with budget watches). In the same way, distance covered and calories burnt are on the same level as the premium watches that we mentioned just above. Which is a big statement for a budget smartwatch. What about other vital like heart rate, SPo2, and stress monitoring? Well, you will be pleased to know that the statistics are quite accurate too. These tests were done with medical equipment and the figures monitored on the Noise Twist smartwatch are fairly consistent. Sleep tracking is on point too. It keeps a track record of going to sleep & walking up. Movements in between like visiting the washroom is also tracked. Overall you will get to know REM sleep, Light sleep, Deep sleep, and awake time. Unlike BoAt Wave Lite that we had before this did not keep overall track of sleep. Usually, budget smartwatches have issues monitoring sleep after waking up after washroom visits. But Noise does not do that. Which is good! Note: Smartwatches are not to be replaced with medical equipment. Though the figures are “similar” doesn’t mean you should not consult a doctor if you don’t feel right. There’s always a margin of error. User Experience During Workouts Our previous Noise smartwatch was ColorFit 2 Grand (Review). The best part about it was the map view tracking. This same feature is present in Noise Twist. What does it mean? Well, if you go jogging, cycling, or even walking the watch will remember the route you take. It helps to know factors like elevation, downhill, etc. We did miss BoAt Wave Lite (Review) as there was no map view. But for this feature to work, you will need to allow location permission to the watch via your smartphone as Noise Twist does not come with GPS like all budget smartwatches! So before launching a workout, you will need to unlock your phone and allow any NoiseFit popup for location access. Otherwise, it will not record a map view. Before launching a workout, you can also set a goal for a particular duration or calorie target or steps taken. This is very helpful when you wish to challenge yourself and not overdo yourself. During a workout, you can pause or resume it. We tried to pause a workout for 1 hour and it did not terminate the workout. Moreover, media controls also work (unlike BoAt Wave Lite). So for user experience, Noise Twist is a great smartwatch under 2000 Rs. Therefore, 9.5/10. How’s NoiseFit App? Noise has really done their work and the app reflects it. It’s the most motivating and challenging app one could ask for staying fit and healthy. To begin with, the UI is very smooth be it on an iPhone 7 or the 13 it gave us no issues of compatibility. Similarly, tested on Android too and the experience was similar. Good job there, Noise! When it comes to working out you need two things; discipline, motivation, and reward. And this app takes care of it. After setting up the app and your goal for fitness you will see a daily walk or “step streak” for 3000 steps a day. On a successful day, you will be rewarded with 10 points. These 10 points will get 2X,3X,5X, or even 10X as the time paces and you achieve the step goal every day. if failed, the streak will break and you will start from Zero! These points can be redeemed to buy special coupons or buy items at a discount from Noise. This takes care of the discipline. Noise also organizes weekly challenges and you can complete them with other Noise users in real-time. Events offer different rewards to the winners. We’ve seen smartwatches, TWS earbuds, neckbands, etc. If your friends have Noise smartwatches then you can add those people and directly challenge them for step walks or other challenges. The one with higher statistics wins! This takes care of motivation! We’ve used many budget smartwatches, and NoiseFit is by far the best one with tons of features and customizations. How Good/Bad is The Call Quality of Noise Twist Smartwatch? We’ve tested a few other smartwatches with calling and most of them are pure average. For the best call quality, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (review) is the way to go, if your budget allows. Otherwise, Noise Twist can be considered! The call quality is good. You will not have any issue understanding what the other person on the call is saying. In the same way, your voice will be transmitted. Is it as per the smartphone’s level? No! it’s not! But it’s more like a TWS earbud output. Many people think calling via smartphone seems a little too much. Here’s a scenario to understand the need better. Let’s say you are in the metro does not feel safe to take out your phone. You can take your short calls via the smartwatch itself. Another situation is when you are you are riding a scooter and you keep the phone under the seat storage area. And when you get a call you don’t need to open the seat and pick up the call as it will take some time. You can simply pick up the call via the smartwatch and talk your immediate communication there. So for calling, the Noise Twist smartwatch gets a 9/10. How Long Can Noise Twist Smartwatch Be Used? One thing that is quite clear after testing many Noise products is that the battery claims are on point. For instance, the Noise Twist smartwatch claims up to 7 days of battery backup. And will calling the claimed figures are for 2 days. So what will be the real-world figures? During our few months of use, we witness anywhere between 2 to 3 days of battery backup. This will everything on; like 24/7 heart rate, sleep tracking, rise to wake turned on, 80% brightness, moderate calling, many workouts, etc. You can even experience up to 4 to 5 days of battery backup if you cut on a few things. Like staying in silent mode, raising to wake to time specific (when you need to), no calling, 50% brightness, and turning off auto heart rate. As for charging, it’s quite quick. From 0 to 100% via PC/laptop, it charges under 2 hours. Using a 20-watt charger can fully charge it under 1 hour 40 mins. So for battery backup, the Noise Twist smartwatch gets 8.5/10. We are wrapping up! To sum up, the Noise Twist smartwatch is a capable smartwatch with tons of sports modes, Bluetooth calling, and good build, and looks. The statistics recorded are somewhat accurate and knowing where your health is going always helps in the future. Therefore, we award it as 8.5/10. • Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Review! Best Smartwatch Under 2000?
We tested a few budget smartwatches in 2020 and decided not to cover them because the wearable tech had a laggy interface, poor data syncing connection, and hey-why workout metrics. But 9 months ago we got our hands on the Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand smartwatch and now we can confidently say, that things have drastically improved over time. The UI is smooth and the watch faces are quite informative. We approve of this smartwatch. Back to Noise Colorfit Pulse Grand review! Here we will talk about the pros & cons, built quality, compatibility, comfort, health features, comfort, Convenience, Battery Backup, NoiseFit App Review, Customization, Workout Modes + Our Experience, Hidden Features, and our Verdict! Secondly, we tested out with both Android & iOS so that you should know what to expect. At Padhkedekho, we provide honest and customer-centric reviews of products. Since we are independently owned, we don’t do sponsored or promotional content. Our editorial team has used every product showcased here for a few days and all gets compiled so that you can choose better. You can support us by shopping using the Amazon or Noise website links throughout the article without costing you anything extra. Thanks for your kind support!  So that being said, let’s begin the Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch review with pros & Cons Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch Pros & Cons Built Quality The overall build of the smartwatch is plastic which is expected at this price range. This plastic frame gives it an edge in terms of weight. The Noise smartwatch is exceptionally lightweight at about 20 grams. We have tested a few other smartwatches too but did not like the weight of those. We’re happy to report, that this lightweight smartwatch will not divert you while working out. On the right side, the watch features a Menu/slide button which is of decent quality. It gives an assuring click noise when you go into watch fitness modes or check out the features. The watch strap pre-applied is of good quality silicone. it’s quite durable and no sign of depreciation is easily shown. You can see the condition here. This is after a month of use and a dry cotton cloth is spread. if you want a durable watch that can handle some beating then the Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand can be a good choice. So in terms of built quality, we haven’t found an issue. However, we would have loved to see an aluminum frame or screen protection pre-applied other than the black Noise one.  Compatibility Like all smartwatches, Noise wearable tech is compatible with Android & iOS devices. We’ve tested it on Motorola, OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi, Poco, and iPhones without any issues. As per the paper specs, you will be fine even if you have an old smartphone running Android 4.4 or IOS 10+. Noise has provided a long list of supported devices. Many smartwatches don’t go beyond Android 8 and iOS 12. So are there any differences in functionality between Android and iOS? Yes, one major difference is the availability of quick replies to notification calls with a pre-defined message on Android You can edit or delete those and make your own on the NoiseFit app. Hence as compatibility goes, Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand is great even if you have an Android or iOS smartphone. Health Features The Noise smartwatch has most of the essential ones like heart rate, SPO2, stress monitoring, and sleep monitoring. From the Noisefit app, you can turn on real-time heart rate monitoring. The rest of the things can be checked manually. Other than these, you have some more convenient healthy lifestyle points like idle alerts, drinking water reminders, and hand washing. All these points seem basic but are quite essential for your health when you are sitting for too long, and not drinking water in small intervals. Though washing hands was quite essential during the pandemic and hope we don’t need that again! We appreciate Noise for dedicatedly providing women-specific menstrual tracking. In the past, smartwatches used to neglect this feature and we are pleased it’s here in Noise Colorfit Pulse Grand. The only health feature missing on Noise Grand is blood pressure monitoring. This is not a deal-breaker for us but the addition of hypertension monitoring would have made this smartwatch reach a bigger audience. For the best monitoring of health stats, it’s advisable to buy Medical Association Approved tech gear. Like an Oxy meter to monitor blood oxygen level, a BP machine for hypertension, etc. Smartwatches have come very close but still, never take your health lightly with budget tech products. Comfort How comfortable is the Noise Colorfit Pulse Grand smartwatch? Does it pain if you have hair or is it heavy for long hours of use? We never let your questions go unanswered from Insta! So do keep on dropping those and we will get back to you! As far as comfort goes, the watch strap is made up of silicone which is very soft and sweat-friendly. In the above picture, you can see there are many levels of adjustments hence a teen or a man with a big wrist can easily wear this smartwatch. if you have hairs on your wrist then you will get some pain while wearing it for the first time of the day (just like any watch) but afterward, you will not be facing any problem as such. During testing, I wore the watch for 2 days on a single stretch and didn’t face any pain or discomfort. Secondly, the strap connectors are very sturdy. I have a nephew who is 10 months old and you must know how good grip they have when they are pulling things! So good job there, Noise! Convenience Why do you need a smartwatch? It’s primarily for convenience! Before having this Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand smartwatch I was more dependent on my smartphone while riding and driving. E.g. you are riding and you get a call, unfortunately, you don’t know who is calling until you stop after looking for a safe place, and by the time the call gets disconnected. This 20 or 30 seconds of a ringing phone is a big distraction and even more irritating as you don’t know who is calling. This issue can be solved with a smartwatch! You will get the call notification on the wearable tech from there you can differentiate between a spam call and an important one with just a flick of your wrist. And if you have an Android smartphone you can revert with just a single tap! Hence, you are connected and not that irritated while riding! Now let’s say you are driving a car that doesn’t have steering mount controls and you are listening to music via aux but your smartwatch is connected to the phone. Guess what, you can control the volume and change songs as per your liking. So yes, a smartwatch adds convenience to your life and less dependency on your smartphone. Battery Backup Just like a smartphone, laptop, or any product that comes with a lithium-ion battery, smartwatches are no different. Their battery backup gets highly affected as per your use. If you have continuous heart rate monitoring, phone notifications, and vibration set to full just like the brightness then you can mark my words, you will never get the claimed battery figures on any smartwatch, period. I am keeping aside the workouts as they don’t consume much battery. But these features will kill any smartwatch around 60 percent of the claimed figure. Noise ColorFir Pulse Grand smartwatch claims 10 days of battery backup on moderate use. So no way you can achieve that with all the fitness, health, and notifications. So much juice you can expect from Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand? if everything is turned on and with all the features, notifications, call alerts, weather, emails, etc you can get around 4 days of juice. Which is great, to be honest. You can gain a day more if you stop continuous heart rate monitoring. Want more juice? Then reset your watch and don’t make any changes to the notifications or brightness. Noise’s default mode doesn’t sip the battery as your car does! After 9 months of use, I would not mind recommending this smartwatch to someone who is okay with 3 to 4 days of backup. NoiseFit App Review The NoiseFit app has been incredible in this one month. The current version R214.4.1 is very stable. The moment you turn on the Bluetooth on your smartphone within a few seconds the watch gets connected. And once the connection is formed, the smartwatch will not disconnect on its own. We were not expecting that in this price range. So in terms of connectivity.  We have observed no issues. When you’ll open the app the first thing there will be the Challenges section. Here you will find upcoming and ongoing challenges. Which works great to motivate smartwatch owners. The first tab is the summary section, where you will find the distance covered, steps taken, calories burnt, step counts, sleep hours, distance, heart rate, stress count, and blood oxygen level. To motivate users with better health, the Noisefit app provides multiple trophies for completing milestones like steps and kilometers. if you have friends with Noise smartwatches then you can see their progress too. Great way to indulge someone in your ecosystem! Just below that, you have the recent activities that you have performed. Clicking on those will give better-detailed statics with a map view of the workout. More about it in the workout section of the review. The second tab is the section from where you can buy other Noise products or perhaps accessories for the smartwatch (which is very rare in the offline market). I found this section quite interesting in a way a “happy customer” will certainly try new Noise products! People at Noise if you are reading this, please show accessories supported by the smartwatch the end-user owns. It will help a person with a better shopping experience. Then you have the activities section that you will find in the workout section of the smartwatch review. Just like the customizability section of the smartwatch below. This app offers very minimalistic notifications as compared to other smartwatches. Customizations As far as customizations go, you get 5 watch faces on the smartwatch. However, from the NoiseFit app, you can choose 100+ faces like Illustrations, Chronograph, Minimal analog, Abstract, Geometry, Space, Sports, etc. We liked the wide variety of options. All the watch faces offer great quality. They don’t blur or pixelate the text and picture. If you don’t like those or are willing to make the watch face “more personal” then you can design your custom watch faces like your pet’s photo, kids, cars, etc. You can change the placement of the time/date/picture as per the predefined structure. We’ve felt the customizations of the watch face take about 30 seconds to download even with a 40mbps WI-FI network. Once you have downloaded a watch face you can always change it by pressing the screen for 3 seconds and swapping left and right to make changes right away. Since 5 watch faces are the default ones, you can keep one watch face from the downloaded ones. Only the last downloaded will stay.  That’s about the watch faces. Let’s have a look at the app features and customizations. From the NoiseFit app, you can make changes to so many things. Here are some screenshots. Some features like Drink Water Reminders, Weather Settings, My alarms, Handwash, etc can be further controlled based on duration. So as customizations are concerned We are very impressed with Noise. Hence 5 out of 5! Workout Modes + Experience Noise did overdose when adding workout modes! it offers 9 main categories and then you have multiple subcategories from which you can finally choose the one you need. E.g. if you want to have a walking session, you will tap on Running Sports and then Walking. This means you will need to invest some time to choose the workout. One more thing, you can also set the workout goals for each workout. Let’s say you would like to walk for 30 minutes or burn 50 calories or perhaps 5 miles distance you can do that on Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand smartwatch! All the major workouts like outdoor running, walking, treadmill, outdoor cycling, gymnastics, freestyle, core training, skateboarding, roller skating, cricket, basketball, badminton, squash, volleyball, pingball, football, ballet, Zumba, street dance, ballroom dance, normal dance, etc are all present. Hence, you will not be disappointed with the choices of workouts for sure! During a workout, you can swipe left to control music like changing songs or increasing/decreasing volume. Pressing the circular ring will bring a popup to pause or end a workout. One thing that I liked about this smartwatch is to ask for confirmation to actually stop a workout. It helps as sometimes we just need to take a pause instead of stopping it. What kind of health data can be stored on the Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch? Let’s say you went for outdoor running or walking. This smartwatch will record and show statistics for the duration, distance, calories burnt, average speed, average pace, max pace, min pace, average heart rate, max heart rate, and minimum heart rate. On the connected mobile, you will all this information with a better graphical interface; with a map view of the workout. So now you know what kind of statistics this smartwatch store and show.   Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch Hidden Features Above we’ve covered pretty much all the major highlighted features that will make your life easier. But after spending a good one month with this watch, there are numerous hidden or less known features that we liked. #1 Flashlight: From the home page you can swipe up and press the torch button. This will illuminate the full brightness of the display panel and glow white. This will be handy if you are in a dark room or just want to get things done without turning on the room light. #2 Find your phone from the smartwatch or vice versa: if your phone is connected to the smartwatch but you have forgotten where you have kept it then don’t worry all you need is to press the find phone button which is the first button on the right in quick access shortcuts. After getting your phone you can again press it to deactivate the feature. #3 Weather app: When you have connected your phone and allowed the location permission you will be able to see the actual pictorial weather display with 5day weather information. Since the day, I used this feature I’ve removed that widget from my phone’s home screen! Should You Buy Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch? Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand Smartwatch Review was very important for us. Not because it’s the first smart wearable that we tested but because we have read many reviews where the writer has not thought about the end-user who is going to ultimately buy it. Because if someone is willing to know the tech specs he would simply read out the product description. This is not called a “review”! Here we did dive deep and tested out all the essentials that can be a deal-breaker or maker for the end-user. So to sum up, Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand is a good feature-rich smartwatch one can buy. It packs incredible fitness features and health monitors too. The missing one is the hypertension monitor. Rase to wake works brilliantly while standing, sitting, walking, running, cycling, etc. However, when lying on the couch or bed, the sensor fails to catch the gesture, so you must press the ring button or side button. In the month’s use, we haven’t witnessed a single snag hang, or connectivity issue with the app. It was a seamless experience with both Android as well as iOS. Trust me when I say this, this was the issue with many smartwatches that made us “not to cover smartwatches at Padhkedekho”. But now things are different. How much do you say? well, it’s like the day/night difference! Thus, Noise ColorFit Pulse Grand gets our vote! You should consider it under 2000 rs if you go with the black color. Wrapping up! • MevoFit Drive Fitness Band Review – The Under Dog Fitness Band!
A market that is flooded with tons of options like Mi Smart Band 4, Realme Band, Honor Band 5, etc. There are so many underrated smart bands that are equally good (in some cases, better). One such band is the MevoFit Drive Fitness Band. Today, we are going to share a customer ownership review of the MevoFit Drive fitness band. In this article, we will share its features, fitness modes, battery backup, build quality, etc. It’s been more than 2.5 years this fitness band is very sturdy, and thumbs up to MevoFit for the amazing band. Back to the article. So welcome to PadhKeDekho and without taking more of your time let’s get started! And if you are here for the first time we would request you to bookmark our website as we keep on bringing articles like this. Thanks! MevoFit Drive Smart Band Review 1. Band Quality The strap is made up of silicone which feels quite soft and premium. The MevoFit Drive fitness band is available in amazing color options like Black, Blue, Orange, and Red. We picked the orange color as it looks more stylish. In the pictures, this fitness tracker looks bright and punchy but in reality, it is quite sober. So if you wish to wear it in a formal meeting then you’ll easily blend in for sure! The holes in the strap are properly done and finding your conformable spot will be an easy affair. So it’s a perfect fit for all. We have tried a few fitness bands in the budget segment and it has one of the best band/strap built quality. 2. MevoFit Drive Display Quality Unlike some popular fitness bands, Drive offers a 0.91-inch OLED touchscreen display that is very bright even under direct sunlight. On the outside, MevoFit has provided a screen display protector. This fitness band is rugged and can easily take a few beatings while you are working out. MevoFit Drive smart band supports touch commands as well as gestures. Gestures will come in handy when you are already performing a workout and forgot to enable the tracker! In other words, you will not be required to stop and affect your important statistics while working out. Our favorite feature of this smart fitness band is the auto-turn-on display. It is somewhat similar to the wake screen on Apple Watch! This feature will help you activate the display when you tilt your wrist inwards i.e. towards you. While you are performing a workout majority of the fitness bands disable the display to preserve battery. MevoFit Drive also does it but it gives users the control to enable the screen by simply twisting their wrist towards the face. With this, you’ll be easily able to check out your progress in real time without pressing any button or screen! To be honest, we were not expecting such practical features in this price range. 3. MevoFit Drive Activity Tracking With the MevoFit Drive fitness band, you will be able to monitor quite accurate steps, distance covered, calories burnt, sleep, and idle sitting time. Though it feels basic these are the primary parameters for leading a fit and healthy life. Because of the current Covid-19 situation, employees are working from home. Due to the lack of movement, a good percentage of employees are gaining weight and heading towards an unhealthy/stressful lifestyle. This fitness band will motivate you to pull up your socks and kill the excess fats accumulating in your body. On this tech wearable, you will get a notification (vibration) to move if you are continuously sitting for a long while. Initially, I found it to be intruding but after a while, I made a habit of standing or walking a little to recover my body from the seating job. 4. Fitness Features On MevoFit Drive This little fitness tracker provides tons of fitness modes to you. To begin with, it will let you track your walks, runs, cycling, skipping, and tons of other modes. In all the modes essential statistics like steps, distance covered, and calories burned on the band are shown. Along with the above important vitals, this fitness band will let you keep an eye on your sleep. More precisely it will monitor your sleeping patterns like total sleep time, deep sleep analysis, etc. So while you are resting your fitness band is working and tracking! The rest of the statistics are available on the MevoFit Fitness App which is available for free on Android (4.4 or above) as well as Apple iPhone (iOS 9.0 or above). Keeping both operating systems in mind, this smart band is targeting a wide range of users! The best part about the MevoFit Drive fitness band is the IP67 rating which makes this fitness band water-resistant. So if you are looking for a fitness band that you can wear while working out in the rain, or performing swimming sessions then MevoFit Drive will not disappoint. 5. MevoFit Drive Smart Features Not only this smart band offer fitness but also numerous smart features. Once it is paired up with your smartphone you can get notifications of incoming calls, messages, and social apps all on your wrist! It will also notify you regarding upcoming reminders, alarms, timers, etc., From the power of your wrist controlling the phone’s camera is possible. Moreover, if in case you lost your phone somewhere MevoFit Drive can help you find your smartphone! For customizability, the MevoFit Drive comes equipped with multiple watch faces giving a glimpse of a smartwatch! MevoFit Drive Battery Backup MevoFit Drive comes with a 70 mAh Li-On battery that will provide you with a battery backup of around 8 days. In our testing, we achieved the result various times by using multiple modes and Turn Wrist enabled. Since we are not heavy users, the battery backup impressed us. Charging this smart band for 15 minutes will get you enough juice to use it for a few hours. The battery reaches from 0 to 100% in 1.5 hours. The majority of the smart bands come with a micro USB port for charging. which is inconvenient if you are not caring any cable. With this smart band, the display comes off and has a USB 2.0 interface for charging. If you are not carrying a charger you can still plug the USB into any USB device nearby to charge! Perhaps you can charge this piece of tech via any USB port of your laptop or computer! Should You Buy MevoFit Fitness Band? There are plenty of reasons to buy the MevoFit Drive Fitness Band. First and foremost it is not a Made in China product. On the box, the supplier mentioned is from Dubai, UAE. Secondly, if you looking for a fitness band that provides very legitimate stats then you should consider MevoFit Drive Fitness Band. In our testing, we were only concerned with the steps, distance, and calories burnt and we were quite satisfied with the results. Yes, some features are missing on this fitness band like heart rate monitoring, etc. If you require a fitness band with a heart rate sensor then you can try MevoFit Echo Swin Fitness Band. Keeping the price and other factors like being a non-Chinese product in mind it ranks itself above the competition. Additionally, the built quality is among the best that we have witnessed so far. So without a doubt, it’s a great tech wearable for your wrist. If you can cope without the heart rate monitor then you should give it a try! It is hard to believe that such a gem has not received its share of success. That’s it, folks! Thanks for stopping by and going through the review. We hope you found our content helpful. • BoAt Wave Lite Review | Lite For a Few Reasons!
It’s been over 2 years with this smartwatch and it’s going quite well. The smartphone app has been revamped and the watch is quite responsive. Back to the BoAt Wave Lite review! If you are looking for a smartwatch around 2000 Rs then BoAt Wave Lite would have gotten your attention. Launched on 31st March 2022, it has gained around 4.3-star ratings and around 1000 reviews on Amazon. It is arguably the second best-selling smartwatch after Noise ColorFir Pulse Grand which we reviewed 2 weeks ago. You can check that review here. it will open in a separate link. So after spending a long time with it, here’s our BoAt Wave Lite long-term review! In this BoAt Wave Lite smartwatch review, we’ve talked about the pros & cons, box contents, built quality, screen quality, look & feel, BoAt Wearable app review, smartwatch connect features, watch faces customizations, workout and statistics, battery backup, and finally our verdict. You will not find a detailed article like this because we don’t follow the tech specs and call it a day!    PadhkeDekho.com is supported by the readers. This article has Amazon affiliate links that help us earn some commission at no additional cost to you. It ultimately helps readers like you who are looking for “non-sponsored reviews”. We use a product for 1 month before sharing the review. BoAt Wave Lite Pros & Cons Box Contents In the box of BoAt Wave lite, you will get a bunch of things. To begin with, 1: A docket of other BoAt products. 2: User manual. 3: Warranty card. 4: Smartwatch itself. 5: BoAt sticker. 6: Magnetic charging cable. Nothing special here, it’s common in all smartwatches so you will not be missing anything. Built Quality If you have concerns about weak or flimsy built quality then you will be very happy to know that BoAt Wave Lite is quite a sturdy smartwatch for under 2000 Rs. There are three things to talk about. 1) The Strap: It’s a silicone strap which is common in this price range but the rubber is quite soft and stretchable. You can easily adjust it without causing any pain. Even though I have hairs around my wrist and it has not plucked a single one from the last month of testing. 2) The Dial: For under 2000 Rs many smartwatches have a polycarbonate chassis which gives decent with a little cheap feeling. But BoAt Wave Lite has a sturdy aluminum housing that looks good while being strong. I happen to bump the watch a few times on hard surfaces and have not witnessed any dents or scratches. 3) The band clip: like the previous point, many watches come with a plastic band clip which gives a feeling of cheapness. But BoAt has given an aluminum band lock which feels strong while wearing or taking the watch off. So in terms of built quality, it’s remarkable what BoAt Wave Lite offers for under 2000 Rs. Built Quality: 9/10 Looks & Comfort BoAt Wave Lite comes in 3 different color straps while the watch chassis is black/grey Atom color. The colors are Active Black, Scarlet Red, and Deep Blue (that you see here). Since we have Noise Color Fit 2 in black we went with Blue for a change and we like it! The watch feels fresh and “new” every day. The blue-black color is great for formal and casual outings too. BoAt branding on the strap is quite nicely done and doesn’t come right at your face every time you look at it! How much comfortable is BoAt Wave Lite? I’ve been testing this watch for the last month and it’s been very comfortable. I do have hairs on my wrist and it’s been going well. Not a single incident of the pair struck in the strap. One more thing, the strap has 10 indents that help all wrist sizes to comfortably wear the smartwatch. My niece who is 12 years old can easily hear it. So in terms of look and feel, BoAt Wave Lite gets my recommendation for being a comfortable smartwatch. Looks & Comfort (overall): 9/10. Screen Quality | Is BoAt Wave Lite Bright Enough? Screen brightness is quite an issue with budget smartwatches. Some brands don’t do cost-cutting on features but never talk about screen brightness. I’ve used more than 5 smartwatches under 2000 Rs and none is as bright as BoAt Wave Lite. Even under direct sunlight, you will not need to max out the brightness. So if you are outdoors most of your day then this smartwatch will preserve most of the battery as your brightness will not be draining the battery. Since on the low setting, it’s very bright. This will not be a good thing in a bleak room. So, I will advise keeping a dark watch face that will ease the visibility at night. What about screen quality? How good or bad is the touch response? is the watch snappy or lag? These are the questions sent to us in DMS on Instagram. So, if you don’t follow us there, then you are missing out! So is the BoAt Wave Lite bright? Yes, it is. You will not need to crack up the brightness while outdoors on this one. BoAt Wave Lite offers a quick and almost jiffy touch experience. The moment you will give a command it will register it. E.g. A light touch while scrolling through the watch features will trigger something just like that! You will need a little time before getting a hang of this smartwatch. Just like all the smartwatches, if there’s some water or the watch is damped it will become a little less responsive to a swipe with a dry cloth will be needed. So in terms of screen quality and touch responsiveness, BoAt Wave Lite gets a solid 9/10. BoAt Wearable App Review (Smartphone) In simple words; basic that works! If it’s your first smartwatch then you will like it. There are a decent amount of features that will help to make your life easier. To begin with, the setting up process is very easy. And doesn’t take much to keep the watch up and running. All you need is to turn on the watch with the crown button on the right and then everything is done via the BoAt Wear app which is free for iOS and Android. As far as compatibility goes, BoAt Wave Lite can be paired with an Android phone running Android 5.0 and iOS it’s 12.0 or above. Hence, it’s compatible with a long list of devices. Good job there, BoAt! From the app, you will be required to allow most of the permissions that are needed as both Android and iOS are working more on user privacy. You can set your health goals and the rest of the setup process at the time of setting up or afterward using the Google Fit or Apple Health app. One suggestion to BoAt, please get your notifications panel color scheme sorted. The Wearable app picks the color scheme from the phone and implements that. But common who keeps a black background with black font! Kindly sort this out. Our switch to light mode. Here’s a photo with regular mode vs dark mode. You can’t read the notification! How to Use BoAt Wearable App Many people asked us about the UI of the BoAt Wearable App and here I am most impressed with it! The app shows no ads for other BoAt products. It’s very clean and basic which I prefer. The Home page is all about your steps taken, calories burnt, active time, and blood oxygen level. You can check your stats right from there no need to swipe down to see progress. Also, you will find the connection status and help section. Further scrolling will bring the detailed breakup of your steps taken hourly. Similarly, total calories burnt and average heart rate. The second tab is the Analysis tab. Where you will find all the major categories of data like Step Count, Calories, Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen & Sleep. Clicking on any will bring a detailed view with options to show data by day, week, or month. Along with the total kilometers covered on the day and burnt calories. This is quite neatly done. The second last thing on the home page is the sleep breakdown. I will talk about sleep tracking and other workout statistics below so keep on reading. The third tab is My Activities. Which is quite boring. It only shows the workout stats like steps taken, duration of workout, calories burnt, and km covered. Unfortunately, clicking on any workout will not show the map view or a more detailed view. So this is the workout data the smartwatch can track. The fourth tab is the Watch tab. From there you can do all the customizations to the features of the watch. This is quite simply done, I must say. Developers knew what they were doing! More about this is in the customizations section below! The last tab is Account from where you can make changes to your personal profile like weight and everything. Here, you will also find the Goal Setup that can let you change the goals as per your need. Like how many steps or calories burnt target. There is also a Settings section from where you can sync the data with Google Fit or Apple Health app. BoAt Wearable App Review: 7/10 Smart Connect Features (Smartwatch) Before talking about the workout and statistics, let’s check out the smartwatch features. The first feature to talk about is the raise-to-wake feature. It works exceptionally well all the time except when you are driving, riding, or lying on a bed/couch. In those three cases, the success rate of the raise-to-wake ratio is about 50%. if you have to turn on the screen, you can do that with the crown button. Which can only turn on/turn off/switch on/switch off the smartwatch. The overall UI is navigation based on the 4 sides. Going left from the home screen will take you to the notifications where you can see notifications of messages, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Below is a picture of all the supported apps. Enabling others on the bottom will show notifications from the other supported apps which are not shown on the list. Swiping right will give you options for Sport modes, Breathe, Camera Selfie, SP02, Stopwatch, Screen Timeout, Watchfaces, Reset, Power Off, Download App, Time, and more settings. A single swipe up will bring the workout statistic page with the steps, activity, and calories burnt. Another swipe up will bring the heart rate monitor. The moment you will arrive here the watch will perform a heart rate monitor test. Which is quite accurate. Compared to the result with Apple Watch 3, there’s just a marginal difference. Doing a swipe up again will bring the sleep monitor. The sleep monitor is decent. I usually sleep around 3 AM and wake up by 7:30 AM and it shows just that. But if you will go back to sleep after waking up then it will not keep track. Another swipe up will bring the weather section. This is a quite nice integration. You can see a simple graphical image of the weather. As far as weather goes it can show low and high for the current day, the next day, and the day after tomorrow. BoAt watch fetches the data from the connected smartphone so Just make sure you have given location permission. And lastly, you have your media playback controls. In the center, you get the song name. Also, you have options to increase or decrease the volume, change the track, and repeat the song. I used two music apps i.e. Spotify and Ganna. For some reason, the smartwatch was not showing the song name on Ganna. Though was able to do everything else. To sum up, Smart Connect Features (Smartwatch) gets: 8/10 Watch Face Customization on BoAt Wave Lite BoAt Wave Lite comes with 6 preinstalled watch faces and one of your choices from the collection of 150 watch faces. I’ve tested a few of them and they seem to be decent. You will have plenty of options for cats and dogs! Also, there were a few comments where people had issues downloading watch faces. I’ve downloaded more than 30 watch faces and it’s been great. No such issue was experienced. Let’s say you didn’t like the ones and wish to make your own. You can do that too on BoAt Wave Lite. Under watch faces, you can create your customized one using the default pictures or upload your one on the cloud. You can change the placement of time and other workout statistics. You will even be shown how the watch face will look. Have a look yourself. Below are the pictorial steps and the output. The output Pretty good right? No! It’s because the font style is not bold enough and the size is also small. Notice a few things are missing like the calories burnt heart rate? It’s because you can’t have all of them or more than 2. So BoAt needs to improve on the customized watch faces on BoAt Wave Lite. Other than that, the predefined ones are great. BoAt Watch Faces: 8/10 || Customized Watch Faces: 5/10 Workouts & Statistics As far as workouts go you get 10 sports modes namely Walking, Running, Cycling, Climbing, Yoga, Basketball, Football, Badminton, Skipping, and Swimming. if you need more workout modes then here’s why it’s a lite watch! BoAt has not given many sports modes like gym-specific weight lifting, or freestyle workout modes. As I am into gymming and some weight lifting I prefer my Noise ColorFit Grand 2 Pulse for that. As it comes with 60 sports modes! So now you know what kind of sports mode BoAt Wave Lite offers. Let’s check out what kind of data the watch can capture and whether is it accurate or close to real word use. I said in the title it’s lite for a few reasons. The first reason is, be it any activity, the watch will not show or record the map view of the activity. I scratched my head for a few days just to figure out if maybe I am doing something wrong. But no, it will not record the map view. Another bummer is, the smartwatch will not save any workout statics on the watch itself if you wish to know what you accomplished. Since the watch monitors the basics you will not get heart rate tracking during workouts. Though it will keep track of the heart rate under the second tab of the BoAt Wearable app. So these are the reasons why BoAt Wave has a “lite” in the name. Another important question is the data monitored 100% accurate? heart rate & sp02? in simple words, no the data tracked is not 100% accurate even on all the smartwatches. There’s always a margin of error. These watches are not replacements for medical pieces of equipment. These are just to keep an eye on something unusual like higher heart rate or lower SP02 levels. What about steps and calories burnt? I use Apple Watch 3 and the steps recorded are slightly more than the Apple Watch 3 that you actually did. In other words, you will be getting slightly more steps recorded. The sensor is very sensitive to hand movement. One good thing to add here is that the workout starts the moment you press on the desired workout. Since it doesn’t wait for a GPS connection for location (as it will not capture it). You can pause or resume a workout by pressing the crown button. I tried pausing a workout for a good 20 mins and it easily did that. So give credit where it deserves. Overall, BoAt Wave Lite is very close to the Apple Watch 3 in terms of steps and calorie tracking. I’d say about 80% close. So you can definitely consider BoAt Wave Lite. For Workout & Statistics: 8/10 Battery Backup The battery of BoAt Wave Lite is a strong one. if you will use it extensively like all the notifications, weather updates, and sleep monitoring you can easily expect around 6 days. The battery pattern is quite different on BoAt Wave Lite. It begins to sip the battery very slowly in the first 3 to 4 days. Then on the 5th day, it will drop below 50%. And the next day by night the watch will require charging. While charging, it’s quite the opposite. The watch will get 50% charged within 40 mins. And afterward, it will become slow. I charged it 4 times in a whole month and with different devices like via USB from a PC, 20 Watt Motorola Turbo Charger, and a Samsung 5-watt 2amp charger. The charging time varies between 1 hour and 20 mins to 1 hour and 45 mins. Or you can say, the charging time is under 2 hours (depending upon the charger). So in terms of battery backup and charging, I am quite satisfied. BoAt Wave Lite Battery Backup & Charging: 9/10 Should You Buy BoAt Wave Lite? It’s a great smartwatch for under 2000 Rupees for sure. Be it the amazing built quality, super bright display, fast & sensitive touch response, long battery backup, very strong vibration motor, or responsive raise-to-wave gesture, it’s an easy recommendation. Absolutely* you should get your hands on BoAt Wave Lite. Ya, I did add an asterisk because there are 3 things that you should know before buying BoAt Wave Lite as these can be a deal breaker for you. The first one is, do you need a map view of the workout you just did? if yes, then you should avoid this smartwatch. The second reason will be, do you use the Ganna music streaming app? yes? then be prepared you will not be shown the song name. It’s fine…
