Boat Airdopes 141 has a matte design while Airdopes 181 has glossy earbuds. You can pick one as per your liking.

Hence both have different design languages and are completely different in carry case looks.

Do keep in mind, that Glossy looks good when the case is taken good care of. Otherwise, a 2-month-old BoAt Airdopes 181 will look like year-old earbuds.

On the other hand, matte will still get scratches but it doesn’t pop out like on the glossy one. So it’s your choice.

Features

In terms of features, both are very close. You get touch-capacitive controls, IPX4 water resistance, support for fast charging, a type-c charging port, IWP (Insta Wake N Pair Technology), Beast Mode, and ENX Technology across both the Airdopes which is great.

Whatever you choose you will not be missing the above features. But there are two things that BoAt Airdopes 181 does better.

It offers Bluetooth 5.2 which delivers better connectivity and less battery drain. Hence if you have a Bluetooth 5.2 smartphone it’s better to go with the latest version for your TWS for better compatibility.

It’s not a big difference though as BoAt Airdopes 141 is running at Bluetooth 5.1 and doesn’t have an audio break or network breaking issue.

And the second point is, quite important for gamers and that’s latency while playing FPS games. Even though both are good for gaming, BoAt Airdopes 181 takes the Beast mode to the next level by reducing the latency to 60. While BoAt Airdopes 141 is at 80ms. This 20ms difference is quite noticeable.

Audio Quality

So far both the Airdopes were head to head but in this test, you will find the major difference but both in a good way. Let’s talk about that. Do you prefer a bass-heavy sound signature?

Then both are boomy choices! With Airdopes 181 you get a decent level of clarity among lows and mids with a great level of loudness too. Thanks to the 10mm drivers. You will enjoy rap, hip hop, RnB, Punjabi songs, etc that pump in good low-end frequencies.

On a scale of 10, we would give it 8 purely based on bass. Vocals are at 7 and trebles at 5.

What about BoAt Airdopes 141? It’s a gem for detail lovers. Along with thumping bass, the overall audio signature is voice and instruments-focused. You will enjoy anything you throw at it. As far as loudness goes it is a little lesser than Airdopes 181.

Out of 10, we will give 8 marks to bass, 9 to vocals, and 8 to treble.

Call Quality/Mic Test

We had a history with BoAt earphones with weak microphones because the voice output was not pleasant on the other side of the call. But the good news, is these two are different.

Here you can take decent-quality calls (not saying great). The mic output is clean and distortion-free. ENX works but it will not magically remove the background noise!

BoAt Airdopes 141 has 600 mAh of carrying power while BoAt Airdopes 181 has only 300 mAh. Secondly, the buds of Airdopes 141 have 30 mAh (each) batteries whereas BoAt Airdopes 181 are 35 mAh (each).

Airdopes 141 is good for people who want a longer piece of mind from the charger and a few extra charge cycles. Because the carry case battery size is bigger and the buds themselves have smaller batteries.

But this will have a direct impact on continuous use. Let me explain. BoAt Airdopes 141 can be used for 4 to 4.5 hours depending upon volume. So put them back in the case for 30 minutes before going for round 2.

Whereas BoAt Airdopes 181 can easily go 5+ hours if you plan to use it continuously (maybe two movies back to back!). But the carry case has a 300 mAh battery that will charge your buds up to 3 times.

While at the same time, BoAt Airdopes 141 can go above 5 times for like 0 to 100 percent!

Apple iPhone 16 will be comfortable to hold and use for long hours. I tried to carry both without the case, and it was convenient on the iPhone 16 but not with the iPhone 16 Plus. So, if you intend to use a phone without a case, go with the iPhone 16. Apple iPhone 16 Plus is for people with large hands, and it takes time getting used to if you are upgrading from smaller-screen iPhone like iPhone 13 or 15 or even SE3. I did a speed test many times, and both were similar. It was more prominent when I switched to iPhone 16; it feels like a sports car. So if you felt the same, odds are the Plus model is taking time to get used to. Battery Backup and Charging Size, screen, and battery are the only differences between the 16 and the 16 Plus. Let’s talk about the battery now. Apple is known for not sharing the mAh values. Thanks to this website, we can see that the iPhone 16 Plus has 4674 mAh battery while the iPhone 16 has 3561 mAh. So, does this bring changes? Yes, it does, and it’s massive. My personal phone is still an iPhone 13, and I keep switching between 16 and 16 Plus as per need. So the use case is mostly emails, Instagram, YouTube, Netflix, or other streaming services, and tons of meetings and calls. With this use case on my iPhone 16, I could set the day at 1:00 AM with 40% battery, and by 2 PM it will reach the red zone and put it to charge. Whereas, with the same tasks, my iPhone 16 Plus ends the day with 60% battery at 1:00 AM, and around 8:00 PM of the next day, it asks for charging. Similarly, for charging, I use Apple’s 20-watt charger, and the time consumption is also different. With 20 20-watt charger, iPhone 16 charges from 20% to 100% under 2:00 hours. While iPhone 16 Plus takes a little over 2:30 hours. If I put my iPhone 13 to the same test with the 88% battery health. It ends the day with 30% at 1:AM battery, and in the morning it drops below 20%. So, for battery backup iPhone 16 series is not bad. But if you need the most juice for the day or 2, iPhone 16 Plus is the choice. What About Accessories in Local Shops? In local stores, iPhone 16 Plus accessories are limited and are very expensive. A normal case and tempered will cost you more than a 1500 Rs. If you know someone for the best deals, then stick to them or order online! The same story with privacy-tinted glasses. Whereas iPhone 16 is the new iPhone 13, so much is available that it gets hard to select or reject! At pocket-friendly prices. Do keep in mind that carrying an iPhone 16 Plus is not as easy as it is big. Does not fit properly in the jeans pocket, and it’s heavy at around 198 Grams without the case. With the case, it’s not only heavy but thick, while being so long. On the other hand, iPhone 16 does all the things that 16 Plus does while being a single-handed iPhone. Also, iPhone 16 is very convenient to type, record, or even edit Reels and videos. There is no other way to say this, but if you are buying an iPhone 16 Plus just to outrank people with iPhone 16 or 16E, save some money and go Pro. It is totally worth it. Otherwise, go with the iPhone 16; which is a capable phone. What About Other Things? Rest, everything is shared between the two phones. But BoAt Rockerz 400 takes the build a little more seriously. The headband adjusters are metal, unlike the Rockerz 450, which are just plastic. This is quite prominent when folding both headphones. Rockerz 400 inspires more confidence. Though none of them produces any squeaking noise. Hence, for Built Quality, we will give more marks to BoAt Rockerz 400 than BoAt Rockerz 450. BoAt Rockerz 400 vs 450 Usability Both headphones offer different mechanisms for adjusting the headband. As you can see in the above picture, the BoAt Rockerz 400 has a black rod that connects the ear cups with the headband. This allows some tiltability for the ear cups. If you are in a closed room, then you can expect satisfactory calls. Both headphones offer 300 mAh of juice to play with. You can easily expect around 6 to 7 hours of usage with BoAt Rockerz 400. And with Rockerz 450 it’s a few more hours around 12 to 14 hours. Though both have similar battery sizes, the audio drivers are dynamic on the Rockerz 400 while it’s adaptive on BoAt Rockerz 450. This also drains more juice. Another reason is the Bluetooth 4.1 instead of 4.2 on Rockerz 450. Which can also be a factor. The best part about both headphones is the compatibility of the aux mode. So when you are running low on battery or want to preserve it for a longer time then simply connect your phone with the 3.5 mm audio jack and get entertained. Note:- When you are using aux mode, Bluetooth cannot be operated on either of the headphones. Aux mode will not only let you save battery but also will help you in a better gaming experience. Both the mice are completely made up of plastic. But the quality of plastic is different. It is an HP 250 that has a better build. You will not find a single squeaking even when you press it very hard. This is the second mouse from HP that I’ve owned and also used dozens in my college days so it goes in their tradition! With any HP mouse, you can be less worried about its quality. It’s not like the Logitech 170 has a poor build. It’s just HP feels more solid in the hand. I’ve used the Logitech 170 for 6 months I never felt anything bad about the built quality. But switching to HP has shown the difference. Considering a price difference of a few hundred rupees, unmistakably go with HP 250 if the built quality is your topmost priority. Look and feel (Design) To be honest, in terms of design, Logitech M170 feels like a 20th-century mouse! Whereas, HP 250 seems like from the future! This futuristic look might have a love-it-or-hate-it kind of first impression. However, I loved the design of the HP 250. Logitech M170 has a textured finish all around the sides except the area where your palm will rest. This texture helps to enhance the grip of the thumb, palm, and pinky finger. But here’s a thing you should know. If you have a small or medium hand size then it will be very comfortable. But it might not work its magic on large hands since it is a compact form factor mouse. A regular mouse has an arc design however this one has a slanting curve. This slating curvature adds comfort while using it for an extended period of hours. Whereas, HP 250 has an inward design on both sides. This inward design and full-size form factor take comfort to the next level. Your thumb, palm, and pinky finger will have the best comfort. I am writing this after using the mouse for more than 12 hours continuously, so you can understand! Now let’s talk about comfort in detail. Daily, I work around 12 hours and I had no issues using any of them for such extreme working hours. So who would not like being more comfortable? Therefore, it’s the HP 250 that is better than the Logitech M170 in terms of sheer comfort.  Usability Both the mice have smooth and responsive buttons. Even the scroll wheel works well. So at this point, if you buy any of these you will not miss anything for basic tasks. But if you need to take care of advanced photo editing software like Photoshop or gaming then HP 250 is going to be the one for you. Due to size, the HP 250 forms the best grip. Secondly, it supports 3 changeable dpi that allow even better and more accurate responses.  As far as the button’s click goes, the buttons are much silent on Logitech M170. Why? Because of the small form factor, the buttons have less travel. Whereas HP 250 is a full-size mouse so the clicks are prominent but it will not disturb you. But if you are concerned about the click response then HP 250 is the clear winner. The clicks are instant. Certainly much faster than the Logitech M-170. Don’t get me wrong, Logitech is also fast but HP is way more swift. Now about the scroll wheel. It is much smoother on Logitech. But there’s also one thing you should know. Do you work on spreadsheets Google Docs or any Word-based document? If yes then HP should have your eyeballs! Though it’s not smooth but is very accurate. Let me explain! Let’s say you are working on a text document and your paragraph is 5 lines long. You need to reach line 5. So rotating the scroll wheel close to you will make it work easily. But on Logitech M170 the scroll wheel works fast so you will cross line 5 or reach line 4 then use the arrow keys to navigate. So in terms of usability, it is an HP 250 any day! But now there’s practicality! Practicality – Which Is Better On The Go? For the best on-the-go experience the mouse has to be tiny so it can be used on the train or flight table and also be lightweight when it’s in your backpack. Both the scenarios can be tick marked by Logitech M170. Being an SUV, the HP 250 next to Logitech needs space! If you are on the go most of the time then Logitech M170 is better. But if you have a computer setup or have space for it to spread out then do grab the HP 250. When I am on the go, I prefer using the trackpad of my laptop. So it doesn’t affect me that much. If you are looking for a small form factor and lightweight mouse for your needs be it indoors or on the go then Logitech M170 is the choice for you. With HP 250, you get a bigger and more comfortable mouse. Secondly, there are 3 DPI to choose from and make your experience very smooth and fast. As far as the optic laser goes, on HP you get a blue laser instead of red or invisible. In terms of grading from low cost to expensive, it is a red laser that is found on cheap mice. Invisible at moderate prices and blue for the expensive range. Then you get a faster click response so you can use it for your benefit while playing fast-paced shooter or racing games. But the good news is, these two earbuds are made with decent-quality plastics. The edges are very soft and you will not find single ruff edges on the case or the buds themselves. Both earbuds are from the BoAt’s Airdopes product lineup hence they are very light and portable. But there are differences that we are bringing to you. The biggest difference is the quality of plastic used. The carry case of Airdopes 131 feels more premium and modern next to Airdopes 121v2. But Airdopes 121v2 has better quality earbuds. Here’s a twister for you. We have had these for the last 2 years and both are still going quite well. So in terms of built quality, the difference is negligible you can go with any of these. Look And Feel Both earbuds are very different and for different users in mind. Let’s first check out the visual differences then will talk about the users. The case of boAt Airdopes 121v2 has no outer LED notification for showing battery percentage. It shows that digitally on the display inside the case. But on Airdopes 131 you get 3 dotes that represent the same on the outside. Note– The battery percentage shown is of the charging case, not the Airdopes themselves. You can check out the current airdopes battery in your connected device on the notification tray or in the Bluetooth settings. BoAt Airdopes 121v2 vs 131 Design boAt Airdopes 121v2 has a different structure than the boAt Airdopes 131. So which one is whom? Airdopes 121v2 has an in-ear design with silicon tips that seal the earbud in the ear and you can enjoy music or videos to the fullest. For a perfect fit, you get 2 additional pairs of rubber tips for small and large ears (medium ones are pre-applied). This design is best suited for people with medium to large ears. Whereas Airdopes 131 has a half-ear design making it perfect for people with small ears. Since there are no silicon ear tips the grip and snug fit are compromised. BoAt Airdopes 121v2 vs 131 Audio Quality So far both are more or less the “same” but they are day and night different during audio playback. Due to the snug-fitting of boat Airdopes 121v2, you will experience better bass, instruments, voice clarity, and loudness. BoAt Airdopes 131 with its Apple AirPods-like design, lacks a snug fit, so you will have to experience moderate bass, vocal clarity, and high treble. It makes a good wireless earphone for someone who listens to podcasts or music that is not heavily bass-centric. I liked listing Qwalis by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on Airodpes 131. Both earphones have different in-ear setups. This has a direct effect in terms of noise cancellation and audio leaks. Without going into many details, Airdopes 121v2 does better noise cancellation and fewer audio leaks. If we have to rank both of these, BoAt Airdopes 121v2 will get 8.5 out of 10. Both earphones are quite similar but the things that differentiate them can be quite important for you. Let me start with boAt Airdopes 131. If you wish to have earphones with support for USB-C then Airdopes 131 is the way to go as Airdopes 121v2 supports USB 2.0. Do you plan on taking calls? If yes, you can go with any of the two as they have similar calling experiences. However, with Airdopes 131 I have received complaints of audio breaking. For battery backup, both are similar which is quite surprising because Airdopes 131 has a bigger battery at around 650 mAh. While Airdopes 121v2 has only 380 mAh! Audio quality is the most important factor when buying earphones. If you enjoy bass above everything, boAt Airdopes 121v2 is the best option. While on Airdopes 131 you will enjoy everything from vocals to instruments and even loudness will impress you. If you are concerned about water-resistant both have no IP rating. Boat Airdopes 141 has a matte design while Airdopes 181 has glossy earbuds. You can pick one as per your liking. Hence both have different design languages and are completely different in carry case looks. Do keep in mind, that Glossy looks good when the case is taken good care of. Otherwise, a 2-month-old BoAt Airdopes 181 will look like year-old earbuds. On the other hand, matte will still get scratches but it doesn’t pop out like on the glossy one. So it’s your choice. BoAt Airdopes 141: 9/10 || BoAt Airdopes 181: 8/10 Comfort Test Most earbuds are great for comfort because of the silicone ear tips. Another reason is the “in-ear design language”.
