Built Quality (5/5)

Just out of the box, the feel of the mouse pad is very premium. It has good weight to it. The soft fabric, weight, and rubber back really make it a good mouse pad.

The RGB lights are stitched very well with the fabric, and attention to detail was quite visible. Even the threadwork is very nicely done. There’s not a single uneven stitch. Yes, I have checked it thoroughly.

As far as the connector goes, it is well stitched and glued to the mousepad. The Micro USB port is good quality too. It makes a firm connection and does not disconnect when you move it a little to clean the surface underneath.

Hence for build quality, I would give it 5/5.

With the ANT ESPORTS MP400R, the length is 800mm, and the width is 400mm. The thickness is 3mm. Which is really good. Not every brand offers such thickness; as a result, the grip of this mouse pad is impressive.

This made me take out the RedGear MP40 from the store, which had a 3 mm thickness. ANT ESPORTS has a similar thickness.

As for the size, in practicality, you can easily keep a full-size keyboard, mouse, smartphone, headphones, and still have some space left.

So, size-wise, the ANT ESPORTS RGB mousepad is really worth the price. Hence, 5/5 for that.

After spending 2 months with this RGB gaming mouse pad, here are a few things.

The stitching is not rough enough to cause any discomfort. Though it looks a little sharp in images. This is coming from someone who spends more than 8 hours daily for a month. There will be no marks or lines on your wrist.

The surface is a speed type, which means the mouse will glide on the mouse pad; hence, panning in any direction will be very quick. You would need to lower the DPI of your gaming mouse! And secondly, do not need to pick up your mouse while playing or even working.

Also, the surface has water resistance; hence, you can wipe it or drink from it if spilled, and it will be good to go. A single wipe with a microfibre cloth is enough to keep it clean. All the images here are after 2 months of use.

The bottom of the mouse pad is textured rubber, which makes the grip quite sturdy on any surface, be it a plywood table, glass, or even wood [test on all the mentioned].

Their branding on the mousepad is not a sticker stuck on top; hence, it will not fade easily. May and June are quite hot and humid, but still, there is no fading observed.

ANT ESPORTS MP400R Review – How To Clean?

Cleaning the regular mouse pad and an RGB one are very different, and the latter needs extra care as the RGB controller is not waterproof, unlike the mouse pad.

You would need two microfibre cloths: one will be a little damp, and the other will be dry. First, use the dry cloth to move the dirt particles away from the mouse pad onto the table.

Before using the damp cloth, unpug the mouse pad and then wipe it up. You can apply a little force; it will not damage it.

Once you are satisfied, wipe again with the dry cloth, as it will take away the moisture or water droplets, if any are left. Now, it’s time to plug the mousepad back in.

Avoid washing it in a bucket or sink, as you will definitely damage the surface of the mousepad or the RGB lights.
