Since we have also been using a gaming mousepad for over 4 years now, we will tell you whether you should opt for the leather one or the gaming-centric one.

Looks + Texture (5/5)

If your top priority is to take your office table or work desk, or even a game desk, to the next level, then nothing beats it for the price.
The brown color makes a white/silver color laptop or peripherals stand out, resulting in a plush and premium feeling.
If you wish to add black to the table, flip it off, and here’s a slightly different texture. It’s good that the company has added the reversible feature on such a budget.
The texture is quite good, too. It actually feels like leather or leatherette material. Obviously, it’s not genuine leather, as the price is so low, they have managed to extract a similar feeling. The surface is smooth and behaves like a “speed type” gaming mousepad.
The mouse will glide on the surface, making it great for fast-paced gaming or quick mouse movements.
The pad looks very thin, and it is actually, but it does not stop from giving comfort to the wrist. Over a long course of use, I will update the article and will link the video here when it is live.
So, to sum up, the looks and texture, I am quite happy with it. Hence, 5/5
STRIFF Desk Pad Leather Review – Some Highlights
#1 Reversible: Being reversible, you can make the change as needed. If you wish to have a plush or professional look, you can select the brown color. At the same time, black will be great with some RGBs on the table as a mini gaming setup.
#2 Water resistance: Accidental water spills or soft drinks can happen, and with STRIFF, you can be sure that with just a few swipes, you can dry the area. I’ve demonstrated that in the video also.
#3 Smooth surface: The surface of the mouse pad is very soft. The mouse glides on it. I’ve tried 4 different mice and they work similarly. If you are switching from a gaming mouse pad, you can compare it with any speed-type gaming mouse.
#4 Premium looks: It’s certainly a show stopper. It’s the most premium-looking mouse pad under 500 Rs. The brown and black take the lead miles ahead of the competition. Also, the threading is neatly done and is not even from any corner or side.
#5 Long & wide: The mouse pad is 800 by 300, which is perfect for a full size keyboard, a mouse, and a phone or watch. Its price makes it very special. It’s under 300 Rs with such dimensions. Most brands are giving smaller pads at similar or slightly higher prices.
User Experience (4/5)

So, how does it feel after 1 month of daily use? Well, it helps you work more comfortably. Secondly, the look of the desk improves a lot! Being reversible has its perks, and I appreciate STRIFF for doing so.
The strap is also a nice addition. When you want to carry it around, it keeps it properly folded and also helps to keep it in one place when not in use.
In the Amazon listing, the branding is shown on the right side of the mouse pad. Whereas it’s on the left side, and it is a blessing in disguise! Otherwise, some amount of discomfort would’ve been added due to that.
The texture is great, as we have mentioned in the above section. Long hours of use feel easy without any discomfort.
But.
This mouse pad offers a weak grip on plywood tables. Whereas on a glass table, it does not slide.
As a way around, you can put a paper weight of slightly heavy things on the top corners to add resistance.
Because of a weak grip on plywood tables, we have taken off 1 mark. Otherwise, it’s good and can be a great addition to take your desk even further.
Comparison of PU Leather VS Rubber Mouse Pads
We have been dealing with RedGear MP80, which was a speed-type gaming mouse pad that has been in use for over 4 years now, and this STRIFF does not come close to it in two things.

First is the thickness of the mat. As seen in the image, the STRIFF PU LEATHER mouse pad is very thin. Tough, this does not mean bad or soemhting but still it could’ve been slightly thicker.
And the other thing is grip. RedGear mouse pad has anti-skid material on the bottom, making it “stick” to any surface, and it does not move even an inch on any surface.
Whereas, STRIFF Leather mousepad offers good grip on glass tables but very little grip on any plywood tables.

I think the weight or thickness is also is the culprit here. Brand should remove the Non-Slip from the descrption of the product.
Since I didn’t know what PU latherette mouse pad is, if you also aim for anti-slip on plywood or wood table, then opt for STRIFF Gaming mousepad instead of leather material.
It is good for looks and it excels there only. It will surely come hand during product photo shoots.
So, to sum up, STRIFF Leather mouse pad review, you can buy it if you care about the looks and aesthatics on your desk setup. On a scale of 1 to 5, I will give it 4.
