BoAt Bassheads 300C Review! Can it Beat the Old Bassheads?

The wired earphones market is still thriving, and it will be. Why? Because it removes the concept of charging. Just plug and play!

Second, latency is almost zero, and you can have a very good gaming experience, which is very hard to get on wireless gadgets. Not just that, the mic quality is generally clear and feels real.

When wired earphones were at their peak in India, which are still thriving, BoAt has sold over 34 million wired earphones from the Bassheads lineup!

BoAt 300c type c review

The first thing in any wired earphones is the cable and the quality of the connector. If any of that is weak, the earphones will have a loose connection, and you would lose sound from one side or both.

It usually happens when the wire gets stuck in the zipper, or jurk happens when the wire is small. The cable length plays a vital role.

BoAt Bassheads 300C comes with a 1.2mm cable, which is quite long and can be used with a computer on the table or below the table.

Also, you can easily carry your phone in your lower pocket with perfect mobility. While we are at it, the cable is tangle-free.

The ear tips are good quality for the price. But the overall things are on the right track. The left and right markings are also present.

In the box, you also get a carry pouch, which is a nice touch, as you do not need to buy a case or pouch just for the earphones.

If the cable had been braided, then it could have gotten 5/5 for build! Hence, we took a half point.

Looks 5/5

Cool looking for wired earphones under 800 rs

Hands down, this color combination is the best-looking wired earphones under 1000 Rs. The combination of grey and blue makes it very good-looking. The official color is Cool Grey.

The design of the ear tips is similar to the OG Bassheads 100 with Hawk-inspired wings. Makes it unique.

The wire is a regular non-braided cable with tangle-free properties. If you go with the Blue color, it is a nice upgrade from Black.

The only visible logo is on the controller with a single button. This button is multi-functional and will be discussed in the user experience section. Hence, for looks, I would give these a 5/5.

Comfort & Grip (4.5/5)

The earbuds do look small, but are ideal for medium to large ears. Though you get 2 additional pairs, you can find your comfort zone.

The ear tips are so lightweight that you would not even notice them in your ears.

I’ve worn these for 5+ hours straight while working on a video, and these could’ve gone even longer. No discomfort, no pain observed.

So, for comfort, we would give these 4.5/5. If these had worked with small ears, my niece could’ve used these.

As far as grip goes, these offer a snug fit, and the buds’ seal is very good. Be it walking, running, jogging, or even weight training, the buds do not fall even with sweat. The only thing that you will get used to is the wire.

If the wire gets stuck, you would need to readjust the buds. That’s all! For grip, we would give these 4.5/5.

Features

#1 Type-C Jack: This particular model has a Type-C port because the regular one with a 3.5mm jack is also available. That’s why there’s a “C” in the name to highlight type-c.

#2: 10mm Audio Drivers: BoAt always goes for bigger drivers, and it’s quite evident here with 10mm drivers! Here’s the sound breakup.

#3: 1.2mm Cable Size: As stated in the built quality, the cable is of good quality and is pretty long at 1.2 meters. We have been using Sony EX115 and a few others, and it’s actually the biggest of the lot! So, no issues if your computer is on the table or below the table.

#4 Tangle-free cable: BoAt has offered a tangle-free cable, and it’s actually very thoughtful, as the length of the cable is longer!

#5 Good Quality Carry Pouch: While they could’ve shipped the earphones just like the other brands, like Sony, for example, BoAt has really done a good job with the pouch.

#6 Multimedia Button: The multimedia buttons do quite a lot, actually. Single press acts as a play || pause || accept call. Double-press advances to the next track. Triple Tap plays the previous song.

These are some of the big features of BoAt Bassheads 300C, and for that, we would give these 4/5.

BoAt Bassheads 300c Review – Audio Quality (4/5)

BoAt Bassheads 300C Sound Quality
BoAt Bassheads 300C Sound Quality

BoAt Bassheads 300C comes with 10mm audio drivers, and it does a decent to good job. Let’s start with the good points.

No audio distortion or audio creaking at max volume. Most budget earbuds struggle here, and BoAt did a good job here.

Second, the loudness is quite good, which is BoAt’s signature. Next to other wired earphones in the same price tag, BoAt is louder and sounds distortion-free.

So what about the sound profile? Well, these are good for medium to high frequencies, which makes them good for general music as well as movie consumption.

The earbuds are very light, hence you might feel they will sound hollow, but no, it does a good job.

It’s not bass-heavy earbuds, hence you will feel a bass but not a thumping one. For a better bass, stay around 60-80% volume.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a flat line wired earphones, it offers sharp vocals and treble with enough bass. Out of 5, I would give it 4/5.

Mic Output (4.5/5)

For the price, BoAt is delivering quite a good microphone. I do a lot of calls, and that’s why I wanted to have wired earphones.

So how’s the call quality like? It’s very good. It can let you take decent to good quality calls, whether indoors or outdoors.

Your voice will sound real, unedited, raw, which feels like a mobile phone. I did ask people how I sound, and surprisingly got good feedback.

What about ambient noise? Well, that stays there! But the mic will keep your voice in focus. The person on the call will know you are outdoors, but still, they will hear you quite well.

To be honest, I did not expect such a microphone performance at such a low price. Hence, for calling and mic needs, I would give it 4.5/5.

BoAt Bassheads 300C Review – Gaming Feedback (4.5/5)

Wired earphones are always known for top-of-the-line gameplay thanks to the almost lag-free support and top-class mic for talk and play sessions with friends.

Which is quite evident with the BoAt Bassheads 300C. You will not immediately notice this. But when you go back to your wireless headphones or earbuds, then you will feel it.

The biggest difference will be in the delay between the action and audio, and with wired earphones, the difference between the two is marginal, and it feels the same. For context, when you swipe up for NOS in NFS No Limit or while firing or reloading.

Similarly, the left-right balance is well done, and guessing the enemy’s footstep is very convenient. The loudness also plays a role here.

Since the bass is not that heavy, the immersive experience is little missing, hence I would give it 4.5/5.

Should You Buy BoAt Bassheads 300C – Verdict

If you are on a tight budget of 500 Rs and are specifically looking for Type-C-powered wired earphones, these are certainly quite good. Plus, a carry pouch in the box makes it more valuable.

Unlike most earphones that have a 1-metre cable, these are longer and really help with better neck or on-the-go movement.

So what makes it special? Good built quality, immersive looks, great mic, and gaming performance make it worth the price.

What about audio quality? Loud, distortion-free vocals and mids are the strong points. Bass is not heavy but can really let you vibe on your favorite playlist!

What’s not good? Well, these earphones are ideal for medium or large ears due to the bigger outer shell of the ear tips. You can change the ear tips as two different pairs are provided in the box.

If you have small ears, then the Sony MRD-EX15P (our review) still makes more sense.

Rest everything is great, you would really have a good time with these.
