On ear vs Over ear Headphones Comparison! 7 Key Tips to Check!

Headphones come in many shapes and designs; some are foldable, some have tiltable ear cups, some offer wired connection, and most are wireless. Be it any design or structure headphones come in two different sizes and here’s our opinion about on ear vs over ear headphones; which is ideal for you.

In the last 3 years, we’ve tested more than 20 headphones and this article will be a complete summary with pointers that will help you choose the best one.

So with that said, welcome to PadhkeDekho, and let’s get started with the On-ear vs Over-ear headphones comparison. There are 5 things to look out for when picking up a new headphone.

On Ear VS Over Ear Headphones Differences

#1 Basic Difference

The major difference between on-ear headphones vs over-ear headphones is the size/weight and overall form factor.

On-Ear headphones or “on” “ear” headphones are built in a way that the ear cups rest on the ears without any contact with the skull. This brings a few pros and cons to the table.

Pros: The grip or clamping force is the best; as a result, you can easily wear these for your workouts or gym needs. Even for jogging and walking, these do not move a lot.

Cons: Since the grip or clamping force is high, the headphones feel a little tight on the head. Hence, you will not feel comfortable using it for long hours. And if you wear eyeglasses or spectacles then things get a little messy.

Whereas, the Over Ear headphones or “over” the “ear” headphones cover up the entire ears and rest on the skull. This means the headphones do not put pressure on the ears. In fact, you get a snug fit. This fitting brings a few pros and cons to the table as well!

Pros: The comfort on offer is ultimate. You can wear these for long hours without discomfort. Additionally, I’ve personally observed better passive noise cancellation or blocking of ambient noise around you.

Cons: Since the ear cups fit on the skull they lose grip quickly as a result during workouts you will need to readjust them quite often. Secondly, over-ear headphones are heavier than on-ear headphones and are not built for everybody.

#2 How to Select a Headphone?

So how you will find the best headphone for yourself? Is it going to be On-ear or Over-ear? Let’s talk about that! Let’s say you are liking a headphone. But before ordering check out these 2 things.

1: Are The Earcups Tiltable?

If the headphone has tillable earcups then do consider it. Why? Because it will help you find a comfortable spot quite easily. Some offer complete tiltablity like the image below.

on ear vs over ear headphones

With that, you can try different angles and things will work out.

2: How The Brand is Advertising?

Without testing a headphone, you cannot say whether it’s for you or not. But sometimes brands take 1 step ahead and mention a product as workout-centric or for sports people or gym friendly, etc.

During 2020, brands were targeting Work From Home or Full Day Battery, etc. as their campaigns.

This gives an impression of what the brand is focusing on. So, if it’s gym-friendly it means the claiming force will be good for workouts. How good? For that, you have to check dedicated reviews.

3: Does it Offer Dual Mode?

BoAt Rockerz 400 Looks
BoAt Rockerz 400 Looks

Most headphones come with a wireless mode (Bluetooth) as well as Aux-in (wired mode). Checking this out should be your priority. Why? Because this gives you the flexibility to pair up with your smartphone or laptop as you feel like.

For convenience, wireless mode is good but when you wish to preserve battery or have a better gaming experience you can plug in the Aux cable and use the headphones as long as you feel like it.

Having more options to pair is not a bad choice at all!

What Else to Check?

Now, these two questions are done; ask yourself for what purpose you are buying. What features you are looking for? What are your expectations? With that in mind, make your selection.

Let’s start with Portability.

#3 Portability

Comfy Headphone Under 2000
on-ear vs over-ear headphones comparison

The over-ear headphones have bigger audio drivers, battery size, extra padding, and more hardware and features. This adds to the overall size and weight of the headphone.

Generally, over-ear headphones are over 200 Grams and you can feel this weight when consuming content on public transport looking down at your screen. While On-Ear headphones usually stay around 90 to 120 grams.

On-Ear headphones’ overall size is small which is achieved by a smaller battery, smaller audio drivers, less hardware features. As a result, they feel quite light and do not hamper your activities be it indoors or outdoors.

on ear vs over ear headphones

Hence, for portability, On-Ear headphones make more sense. Not only do they feel lightweight, do not hamper your movement, and do not look extraordinary! But also, they can fold and tilt the ear cups, so that you can wear them on your neck and have a little nap if you feel like it.

Whereas, most of the Over-ear headphones we’ve tested only have swivel ear cups and lack foldability.

Does this make Over-ear headphones bad? No! More about this, in #4 Comfort & Convenience.

#4 Comfort & Convenience

Comfort, in general, depends on where you are planning to use your audio gear. Are you buying it for PC or studio use? Or you are aiming to buy during your office commutes or while traveling? It’s either one. if you are lucky you might find an all-rounder.

Let’s say you go with option one; Studio/Office use. In that case, Over-ear makes sense as you can wear these as long as you wish. I’ve personally worn over-ear headphones for over 7 hours on a stretch.

But doing so with on-ear headphones is tough. Hence, for studio and better noise cancellation go with Over-ear headphones.

However for the second case which is traveling; You can pick as per your liking. But generally, Over-Ear headphones will cause some discomfort during outdoor use.

As we have said, they are heavy in the context of On-ear headphones and they do not fold ( most of the headphones) hence for travel get on-ear headphones.

But if you are looking for headphones with ANC then Over-ear headphones take the cake. As premium headphones are built keeping weight and comfort in mind.

But if you don’t care about Active Noise Cancellation, then you will be better off with on-ear headphones.

When buying the next headphone you should give convenience a thought. Are you planning to buy a wireless headphone or a wired one? How long will be the cable?

Why? Let’s say you bought studio monitoring headphones that usually pack in a very long wire (3 to 4 meters). So carrying it around will not be suitable. Generally, if your headphone has a 1.2 meters long cable it will be more than enough to allow you movement and comfortably reach your jeans pocket.

While wireless gives you all the space you need without being restricted by a wire.

#5 Clamping Force

In the #1 Basic Differences, we talked a little about clamping force and what effects it brings in day-to-day life. But now, let’s talk a bit more as it’s a serious feature.

Clamping force is referred to the grip of a headphone; how well the ear cups hug your ears, how firmly the headband grips your head, and the overall grip around your ears and head. if it is a snug fit with a little more force, it’s considered as good for workouts. Otherwise, it’s not ideal for workouts.

On-ear headphones are popular around the world because of their workout-friendly nature. if you are looking for gym headphones then on-ear is the way to go. Sports people wear these during photoshoots and in their personal life. Even we prefer these over Over-ear headphones during workouts.

But does this mean they are great for casual listeners like you? No! It’s not like that. The clamping force decides whether it’s suitable for movement-centric needs or media consumption needs.

As on-ear headphones are popular for their workout-centric needs, over-ear headphones are popular among audio producers and media consumers like any casual lister will be. Why is that? Because the clamping force is a bare minimum on the ears, while the skull helps to form a snug fit.

This helps an over-ear headphone to be very comfortable for long hours of use. Does, this mean these lose grip with a little movement? No! They stay where you feel like. Even you can use them for walks or even jogging sessions.

#6 Audio Quality

Zeb Duke Audio Quality
on ear vs over ear headphones

Is there any difference between on-ear vs over-ear headphones’ audio quality? Yes, there are differences and major differences.

On-ear headphones have smaller audio drivers. In addition to this with less space between the audio driver and the ears, most of the frequencies are not properly formed. With this, most on-ear headphones offer good bass, sharp vocals, and a pleasant listening experience.

Whereas, Over-ear headphones not only have bigger audio drivers they utilize the space around the ear and in-between the drivers hence all the frequencies are properly formed and audio distortion is quite less and sometimes non-existent.

What does this mean? It means the overall audio quality of an Over-ear headphone will be better than on-ear headphones. By “better” we are not targeting any particular aspect of the audio quality like bass, treble, or vocals.

But “audio” in a very general form, that most people can understand. In my personal experience, Over-ear headphones have always impressed me with clean vocals, good bass, and a pretty loud overall experience.

Hence, for a good overall audio experience, Over-Ear headphones are better.

#7 Battery Backup

Since Over-ear headphones have bigger batteries their battery claims are even bigger! But this does not make them better. Why? Because they pack in bigger drivers that consume more power. But still, they deliver better battery backup numbers.

But does it matter? Yes, it does and most of the time no. Let me explain.

Most headphones come with a 300 to 500 mAh battery and can be used between 5 hours to 20 hours. Even ANC-enabled headphones fall into this category. In a local survey we did in our neighborhood we found people do not use headphones for over 4 hours a day.

With that in mind, both headphones deliver much more than the actual most customers actually need in day-to-day use. Hence, you will be fine with any of the headphones; be it on-ear or over-ear.

On top of it, most headphones come with Aux-in support. So, when you wish to preserve the battery or if you have no battery at all, you can always switch to wired mode and keep on going!

But if you get battery anxiety then you should pick up Over-ear headphones as they power up for almost 3 times the on-ear headphones!

Wrapping up!

  • BoAt VS OnePlus Earbuds | Which is The Best Choice For You?
Over the last 3 years, we’ve owned 20+ BoAt Airdopes and almost all the OnePlus earbuds. Like the OnePlus Buds Z (Review) and OnePlus Buds Pro (Review coming soon), OnePlus Buds Z2 (Review coming soon), OnePlus Nord Buds (Review), OnePlus Nord Buds 3 (Review) & OnePlus Nord Buds 2r (Review) etc. So, after testing quite a few products from these brands, here’s what we think about the BoAt VS OnePlus Earbuds comparison. Read More: OnePlus Nord Buds 2R vs OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Here, we will bring the main highlights, comparisons to similar products, and their respective pros and cons, along with one bonus comparison. At PadhKeDekho, we buy products to review and compare with the only aim to help readers make a well-informed decision. We are supported by readers like you. If you buy anything using the Amazon links we might earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This, however, doesn’t affect our opinions of the products. We assure you, you will not be charged a penny extra. BoAt Airdopes vs OnePlus Nord Buds After testing four earbuds from OnePlus and more than 20 Airdopes, there are sets of characteristics of BoAt Airdopes and OnePlus that we’ve talked about below. Also Read: Best BoAt Airdopes of 2025, OnePlus Nord Buds 2R vs OnePlus Nord Buds 3 #1 Call Quality OnePlus earbuds start at a higher price than many BoAt Airdopes, like OnePlus Node Buds 2R for around 2000 Rupees, which is quite similar to the BoAt lineup. Hence, for the price, the mic offers good quality. The only BoAt Airdopes that come close is the BoAt Airdopes 141 ANC ( Review) Nord Buds with its dual mic setup and BoAt Airdopes 141ANC with its ANC+ENC help in good call quality. These are great and by far the best call quality under 3000 Rs. If calling is your priority, check BoAt Airdopes 141ANC or the Nirvana Ion. From OnePlus, Nord Buds 2 is a great alternative to Nord Buds 2R. #2 Audio Signature BoAt is known for its bass-heavy sound signature, and it’s not 100% true for all the Airdopes. On the same side, OnePlus also targets power users with high bass demand. After testing the OnePlus Buds Z2, OnePlus Node Buds 2, and OnePlus Nord Buds 2R, we are sure “OnePlus” is ahead in the bass game. If you are under a budget of 2000 Rs, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R (review) or the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 (review) are the best buy. It’s not just boomy bass, it’s also about the quality of low-end frequencies. Distortion-free bass is bliss but the moment weak bass kicks in, it spoils the fun. So clearly OnePlus is ahead. Regarding BoAt, only Nirvana Ion can compete with OnePLus Nord Buds 2R. Here, one should remember that OnePlus Nord Buds are slightly more expensive than the BoAt Airdopes lineup. So with that in mind, you can check out BoAt Nirvana Ion it’s the best call for around 2000 Rs. #3 App Support In this section, OnePlus sweeps the BoAt Airdopes lineup. All OnePlus earbuds offer support for the HeyMelody app which is available on Android. With that, you can change the EQ settings, enable/disable ANC and transparency mode (not available on all OnePlus Earbuds), and many more features. BoAt should work on this. if you have a OnePlus phone, you can change the EQ directly from the Bluetooth settings for audio signatures like Bold, Bass & Serenade along with other features like single tap, double tap, long press, etc. On a non-OnePlus Android device, you can do all that with an app called HeyMelody which is free to download. However, on iPhone, the app is available but does not currently support OnePlus Nord Buds. What that means, is you can pair it just like any Bluetooth audio gear and enjoy the best possible audio quality. But you will not be able to customizable the controls & change EQ settings. BoAt Airdopes vs OnePlus Buds: Which is Better For Small Ears? So the above features are quite promising for the OnePlus Nord Buds. Which makes these quite a tempting deal. But it’s not for everybody. If you have small ears and earbuds with silicone ear tips that do not fit properly, then you will have a hard time with both OnePlus & BoAt Airdopes. Trust me, we have sailed that boat too! If you have small ears, then the choices are fairly limited, like the OnePlus Nord Buds CE, BoAt Airdopes 131, BoAt Airdopes Atom 81, Airdopes Atom Pro, or any earbud with half half-ear design like the Apple AirPods. Now, let’s talk about the neckbands. BoAt vs OnePlus Bluetooth Earphones Unlike the TWS from OnePlus, are the earphones any different? Well, OnePlus needs to adapt a few things, and BoAt is losing on some fronts, too. Let’s talk about that. Here, the comparison is between the OnePlus Bullets Z2 and BoAt Rockerz 330ANC (review soon) and BoAT Rockerz 255 Pro+ (review soon), which are almost similar in price. #1 Built Quality Most neckbands are made of a combination of plastic and rubber, and it’s best as it adds more resistance to water damage. BoAt went one step ahead and added metal elements to the Rockerz330ANC. You get IP55 on the OnePlus Buds Z2, IPX4 on BoAt Rockerz 330ANC, and IPX7 on BoAt Rockerz 255+ Pro. The built-quality neckband offered by BoAt offers the best build. We are saying this after using 3 neckbands. Whereas, OnePlus feels more plasticky. Here, we are talking about the OnePlus Bullets Z2. Don’t get me wrong, it’s far better than the OnePlus Nord Wired earphones. Hence, on a scale of 10, BoAT is at 9, and OnePlus is at 8. Both OnePlus and BoAt are durable products and can easily withstand years of use. #2 Sound Quality At PadhKeDekho, we don’t check the numbers. Instead, we test out like a real user on actual music that you’ll listen to on streaming apps. Here is the choice between the quality of the overall music and pure bass. It’s OnePlus that is focusing on branding as “bass-centric,” but it’s not. Instead, OnePlus Buttes Z2 sounds the best overall with detailed vocals, instruments, and good bass. While BoAt is louder and offers heavy bass. Some who are bass heads should consider BoAt Rockerz 330 ANC or BoAt Rockerz 255+ Pro over the OnePlus Bullets Z2. FeaturesBoAtOnePlusBass9/108/10Treble7/108.5/10Loudness9/108/10Vocals8/109/10Clarity (Max Vol)8/109/10Best Deals on AmazonAmazonBoAt VS OnePlus Earbuds #3 Call Quality There was a time when BoAt used to offer inferior-quality mics. This statement does not mean that all the Boat products have good microphones now! We’ve tested more than 5 headphones, 3 neckbands, and 20+ Airdopes from BoAt. So we know not all BoAt Audio gear has a killer mic. BoAt neckbands, Rockerz 255+ Pro and Rockerz 330ANC, packs great microphones for calling. Before getting my hands on I had a wild guess that the OnePlus Bullets Z2 was the better option. But listening to the call quality and microphone performance of the earphones, it was BoAt which is better overall in terms of calling. The problem with the OnePlus Bullets Z2 is not a major one, but it does not block the background noise like the BoAt ones. The mic on the 330ANC feature reduces the ambient noise by up to 40 percent. #4 Device Switch I like the device switch feature on my OnePlus Buds Z. It adds convenience, and it’s hard going back to one device supporting audio gear. Almost instantly, you can connect to the last connected device or switch to a new one. Let’s say you are listening to songs via phone and get a Zoom call on a laptop. With just a push of a button, you can switch to the other device and continue the call. I had the same expectations from the OnePlus Bullets Z2, but unfortunately, they do not support a device switch or dual Bluetooth connection. This is where BoAt went ahead with Rockerz 255+ Pro and Rockerz 330ANC. Here OnePlus should understand that for under 2000 Rs, there are neckbands that support dual pairing. So if you plan for a new audio gear with dual Bluetooth connection under 2000 then stick with BoAt. Bonus Comparison On social accounts, many people dm us about getting a OnePlus Buds Pro or the Apple AirPods. Where did Apple come into the picture? Well, TWS can be quite confusing due to the high competition. Just like with Maruti Suzuki. My friend went to buy a Wagon-R and booked a Swift Dezire! Just by increasing a few bucks, new products from big brands are launched every month. Around 10,000 you can grab many TWS, but the most popular choices are the OnePlus Buds Pro and Apple AirPods 2. We went with the latter, about a year ago, and are still impressed with the connectivity and call quality. Apple AirPods VS OnePlus Buds Pro So here things get complicated. My daily driver is an Apple AirPods 2, and spent a good share of 2 weeks with the OnePlus Buds Pro, it feels like Apple is a strong nut to break for OnePlus! To be honest, the comparison should be between Apple AirPods Pro and OnePlus Buds Pro; however, the price difference between the two doesn’t justify that. But the similar prices of Apple AirPods 2 and OnePlus Buds Pro are quite appropriate. The “Pro” with OnePlus is helping to market better. Let’s talk about the differences you will face with these devices. #1 Designed For Many take design so lightly and then spend a good share of time returning the product. Here, let me tell you what is made for whom. If you have small to medium ears, then Apple AirPods 2 are perfect for you. Or earbuds that come in an ear design. The ones with silicone tips are designed for medium to large ears. Though if you got big or medium you can pretty much wear any earbuds and experience the best of both worlds. So choose accordingly. Visit Apple or the OnePlus store, and they can hook you up with the buds and test those out there. Some staff members are quite good. If they deny it, visit other stores. Or ask friends who own these. #2 App Support If your primary phone is not an iPhone, then stay away from Apple AirPods, period. Don’t get me wrong, they will work on any phone with Bluetooth, but features like activating voice assistant, changing the double tap options, or even ear detection will not work. You will find apps on the Play Store that can allow some features of AirPods on Android smartphones, but they are not legitimate, and your security can be at risk. So, don’t have an iPhone, stay away from AirPods! But if you have an Android phone, the OnePlus Buds Pro is a better product. With a non-OnePlus Android phone, you can use a native OnePlus app called HeyMelody that allows all the customizations that a stock OnePlus device can do. So you will not be missing any features. #3 Audio Quality I am a bass-centric guy, and the moment I used OnePlus Buds Pro, I fell in love with the deep and punchy bass that AirPods can’t produce. Simply because the AirPods have an in-ear design, which doesn’t make a snug fit. If you leave aside the bass, then also the audio signature is very thumpy and full of detail. Be it vocals, instruments, or even treble. Other than bass, Apple AirPods 2 are also on the same level as Buds Pro; there is no denying it. However, I found AirPods to be louder than the OnePlus Buds Pro, which is natural as a bass-centric sound signature is designed that way. Otherwise, the bass will lose quality. So if you are a bass head, then OnePlus Buds Pro is what you are missing. Otherwise, if you have an iPhone, then AirPods 2 can add great convenience and amazing call quality, and I will talk about just that! #4 Features There is no denying, beating the OnePlus Buds Pro with Apple AirPods 2 is not possible even in a dream! You pretty much get everything one can ask for from audio gear. For context, Active Noise Cancellation, Dolby Atmos, Song ID, etc, to name a few! In those 2 weeks with Buds Pro, I could not test all the features. This doesn’t mean they are useless features. Rather, they add great value to a 10000 Rupees audio gear. It’s not that you don’t get many features on Apple AirPods 2. You have Hey Siri to activate voice assistant, touch controls, an H1 chip for a faster connection, in-ear detection, etc to name a few. So either way, you will not be missing on features. But certainly, it’s the OnePlus Buds Pro that takes the cake here. OnePlus or BoAt? There you have it, folks! This is our take on BoAt VS OnePlus Earbuds that you guys were asking about on Instagram. If you have questions, feel free to ping us on the accounts given below. • Apple iPhone 13 in 2025 Makes Sense? 13 Points to Check out!
Are you wondering whether you should Buy Apple iPhone 13 in 2025? You are at the right spot. I’ve been using it for over 2 years and this long term review will be of great help. Even after years of launch, Apple iPhone 13 stays in the news! This time it is gaining traction due to the Amazon Sale! You can get an iPhone 13 for 47,499 Rs! It is a worthy upgrade from the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, or even the SE3. Moreover, it can be a great option for someone willing to switch from Android. So, back to the question; should you buy an Apple iPhone 13 in 2025? Here are the 13 reasons that you should know before making the purchase. With that said, welcome to PadhkeDekho, and let’s begin with the built quality. #1 Flagship Built Quality (10/10) Apple products are known for their built quality and you would already be aware of it! Unlike the 15 series, made of Titanium, the iPhone 13 is aluminum & glass. As for durability and built quality, it is quite a study. The phone does not bend, has no squeaking panels and the buttons offer a solid feel. This iPhone 13 is 2 years old and you can check the condition yourself! The sides are aluminum, they do not get scratched easily compared to the stainless steel on the 13 Pro lineup. Also, it’s not as glossy as steel gets. So, if you are looking for a durable phone that can withstand a long life then the iPhone 13 is a strong-built phone. So for built quality, I will give the Apple iPhone 13 full marks even in 2025! #2 Distinctive Looks (9/10) Apple iPhone 13 in 2025 especially in Green color is eye catchy, People after years of launch like to see it and experience it. If you going to buy it, prefer Green! Love it or hate it, the looks of an iPhone are noticeable. You will always find memes or trolls targeting newer iPhones similar to the iPhone 13 But they stay silent when the Samsung Galaxy S24 gets launched with last year’s design! How funny the trolls are! Also, did you notice the Titanium build of the S24 Ultra? I wonder where they got the inspiration! Coming to the iPhone 13, though the design looks similar to iPhone 15, the cases are not interchangeable. You can only switch cases between iPhone 13 and 14. Design-wise, the iPhone 13 has flat sides and rounded edges on all sides with a normal non-curved display. All this means that the phone stays very comfortable to hold and use. The flat sides and rounded edges make it quite slippery and if you are like me who does not like the cases in general you must get front and rear tempered glass. Hence for design, it’s a distinctive phone, and from a distance, regular users can’t confirm whether it’s an iPhone 13, 14, or even 15. If you are going for iPhone 13 then prefer the Green color. This is 2 years old and even today people ask me to show the phone! So for looks, I will give the iPhone 13 a 9/10. #3 Compact Design (9/10) The iPhone 13 is a compact phone. With a screen size of 6.1 inches, thickness of 7.6mm, and weight of 176 Grams the phone is perfect for long hours of use. Be it a teenager, a working woman, or an entrepreneur, you will not have any issues with the size or comfort. Apple iPhone 13 in 2025 is like a boy in a man’s world! Where smartphones are big and more than 200 grams, is the new normal. Whereas, it’s quite the opposite and almost perfect for one-hand use. Sure, for the notification center and Quick Action Center, you will need to use your other hand or enable Reachability which brings the top bar to the center of the screen. When we say compact it doesn’t mean small! You will not lose any screen area other than the notch! iPhone 13 has a screen-to-body ratio of 86.3 which is good for media consumption. As it’s not very thick and long, you can easily keep it in your pocket. Also, it does not budge like many Android phones. The phone size is perfect for most people out there and you get habitual or addicted to this particular size. #4 Pratical Display iPhone 13 offers a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display at 441 PPI with 120 hz display rate (not to be confused with refresh rate). So on paper, the specifications are not bad other than missing the higher refresh rate. Over the last 2 years, we have tested many Android phones with higher refresh rates and yes the difference is noticeable, and going back to 60 hz takes time. A higher refresh rate is great, but don’t hate me, for what I will say next. Most Android phone with higher refresh rates still runs many native apps at 60 Hz. This means there’s still time for apps to adapt to 120 or even 144 hz mobile displays. So where does the iPhone 13 stand for the display? It’s a good-quality display. It can be quite bright. The typical brightness nits are 800 and the peak can reach 1100 nits. This makes it quite usable even under direct sunlight. The outdoor visibility is good and the British sensors work great. Most of the time it picks the best brightness settings by default. The maximum brightness is good but also the night use is perfect. In the dark, most people prefer lesser brightness, and the low of Apple is better handled. iPhone 13 comes with Dark Mode, Night Swift, and True Tone which helps to prevent eye strain. Also, if you need to cut out more white light you can do that in the phone’s Settings. So all in all, the display is good and will be great if upgrading from an older iPhone. If you have a mid-range or flagship Android, you will miss the smooth 120Hz display but overall you will like it. #5 Performance Powerhouse (9/10) Apple iPhone 13 has an in-house designed Apple A15 Bionic processor with 6 Core CPU and 4 Core GPU paired with 4GB RAM. As for storage, it comes with UFS 2 with 128, 512, and 1 TB storage options. iPhone 13 packs good hardware and you can do all types of work on the phone itself. In the last 2 years, there was hardly any hang or non-responsiveness. It always works! Like social media, video streaming, taking photos & recording videos & even gaming, it stays fine without any issues. Professionally, tons of emails, photo and video editing, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts recording and editing, video calls, and other high-intensive tasks like Snapchat and Instagram do not stress the phone. These days people ask us whether the iPhone 13 heats. The simple answer is yes, it does, and why not it would be. The day temperatures are touching 38 degrees, the AC is running full time and you expect the iPhone to be cool! It does not mean, iPhone 13 stays hot all the time! It’s more evident in intensive tasks like recording 4K video for more than 10 minutes, outdoor video recording under direct sun, editing an Insta Reel or YouTube Short or running benchmarking software, and playing BGMI for hours. You do all the above in your current phone and let us know whether it heats or stays cool! Under heavy load, it will be warm, especially around the camera module. This can happen to any phone under stressful situations. The above screenshots are from GeekBench 6 and Antutu, the most popular benchmarking tools. You can compare the scores with your current phone and anticipate the upgrade. Even in 2025, it shows no dip in performance or lag during use. So for performance, iPhone 13 can easily handle the next few years with the latest iOS versions. #6 Best Non-Pro Camera (8.5/10) Whenever a new iPhone is launched the Pro and Max versions see big camera improvements and changes. This changed with the iPhone 15 lineup when Apple finally moved from 12 Megapixel to 48 Megapixel on the regular iPhone 15. What about the iPhone 13? Apple iPhone 13 powers 2, 12MP main camera and 12 MP portrait camera. These are cable to capture Portrait shots with focus and depth control. Since there is no telephoto lens, you can capture .5x and .1x photos and videos. On the front is a 16MP front camera. These numbers seem less compared to the latest version of the iPhone or even way lesser than an Android phone. But it does a good job explains why bloggers buy an iPhone. The point-to-shoot with the iPhone gives confidence that the shot taken is good. While recording video the output seems quite stable and autofocus works well. You can tap to focus if you need a particular object in the frame. There’s a Cinematic camera mode to record videos to the next level. Moreover, features like changing video resolution, PAL formats, HDR Video, Auto FPS, Lock Camera, Lock While Balance, etc are there to “Pro” your videos! Even in 2025, the camera performance is good. Just 1 thing you might observe is the camera flare which is reflection if you put the light source in the frame. It happens with all the cameras. I’ve observed it more on iPhone 13. So to sum up the camera section, the iPhone 13, is a good one and you can start leveling up your vlogs with it. #7 Network Reception & Call Quality (8/10) I frequently travel and the network is my most important concern. Be it internet surfing, watching videos, or just chatting with friends and family, you need a data connection, and at worst, signals to drop a message or call are fine. The mobile network is not solely dependent on the provider but also on your device. I learned it after switching to iPhone 13 from Moto G51. My travel usually stays between New Delhi, Uttarakhand and Punjab or the north belt of India. Overall Vodafone stays on and off. I observed that the iPhone 13 shows fewer bars while the Moto G51 always has max bars! This made me a little uncomfortable and I did a few speed tests & overall use case. The good news was that though it showed fewer signal bars the download or upload speed was faster than Moto G51 even in the underground Delhi Metro! Yes, I know the comparison is wrong, here the focus is only on the network. Whereas, Airtel & Jio sim cards always show good signals. Maybe it’s a Vodafone thing? So if you have Voda, you might experience fewer signal bars. One thing that will impress you is the call quality of the iPhone 13. It’s always loud and sharp. Never in the last 2 years has somebody complained about muffled sound or less output. There’s even a Noise Isolation feature in the Settings that you can toggle on, it helps in the windy atmosphere to cut ambient noise. As far as the incoming call, the earpiece is quite loud. Even outdoors you will not need to max out the volume. Unlike other smartphones with even louder earpieces leak audio and people close to you can also hear what they are talking it’s not a thing with the iPhone 13. The loudspeaker is quite loud too! Thanks to the earpiece which also acts as a speaker the output is good you can listen to music or enjoy music with a little surround sound! #8 iOS Experience Here comes the iOS and in full swing. if you are coming from Android then yes, you will need to spend a little more getting used to it. All the major popular apps are available on both platforms. If you wish to know if your specific one is available on iOS you can search the app name with “iOS version” and see Apple’s App Store link. It is also true that Android and iOS operate mostly the same thanks to the navigation gestures and similarities between apps. If you are upgrading from an iPhone with a touch ID then yes, you will feel the maximum difference. The Home button is gone and the overall notification and action center, navigation will be new learning! After testing many Android phones, we believe iOS is very easy to use and to get started. It’s an ideal gift for your parents. So for OS, be prepared as iOS feels fluid and animations are quite smooth. Not comparing it with the Pro display or higher refresh rate, the overall UI is fine and you will not feel the completion to upgrade after 2 or 3 years of use. #9 Tons of Stylish Customisations (10/10) Next to Android, iOS still lacks customizations and modding. But on the outside, iPhone accessories are no match for any Android phone. To being, iPhone 13 comes in 6 color options. All premium brands make cases and covers like Secudaria Ferrari, BMW, Element, etc you can check out Amazon. if you don’t feel like spending a premium for those, there are thousands of options in the budget range too. Here are the best iPhone 13 cases you can buy under 500 Rs! Not just those, you can buy Apple original accessories from the store or online Store and check the collection. So if you want to accessories your phone the way you want it, the iPhone is the way to go. #10 Battery Backup & Charging Gone are the days, when the Apple iPhone used to be criticized for battery backup. Things drastically pick up with the iPhone 11. Apple iPhone 13 is quite good as well. Be it any phone, Android, or iPhone, battery backup is not in contact between models as users use it differently. With my use case, I’ve witnessed 9 hours of screen time and as low as 2 hours and 30 mins. Battery backup depends on the user whether you are a hardcore gamer use tons of social media streaming or love to record/edit videos on the go! For most of my journey with iPhone 13, I used the 5-watt charger! It used to charge my phone under 3 hours. A few months ago, I upgraded to iPhone 15 and had to buy the 20-watt charger! The same phone gets charged in under 1 hour 30 mins! Almost half the time. Even today, my iPhone 13 battery health is 91%, and the phone is over 2 years old. So, yes it’s a myth that a 20-watt charger damages the phone with a quick charge. Note: Here’s what Apple says about service and recycling. #11 Supports Dolby Atmos Apple iPhone 13 supports Spatial Audio, Dolby Atmos, HDR with Dolby Vision, HDR10 & HLG, to name a few! So it will keep you covered for audio as well as video needs! There’s no dual speaker but the earpiece behaves like a second speaker. Sure, the output is not equal creating a stereo-sounding effect. For a demo you can check out Punjab by Karunesh on any iPhone 13 you will surely order one! Most phones have average speakers in the price range and if you don’t buy my point watch reviews of products under 50000 you will see mixed feedback. Especially with Samsung phones! The iPhone 13 speakers are loud, crisp audio quality with good treble and bass. It can surely bypass your tiny Bluetooth speaker! #12 Best Support (Software/Hardware) Apple has a great developer team for their software. For context, the iPhone XR was launched in 2018 and still supports the latest iOS even after 5 years! So, everyone knows why it’s better to buy an iPhone. Here, I am not going to put Android in comparison. Let’s talk real now, can you use an iPhone for 4+ years? Here’s a real-life example. My iPhone 13 is more than 2 years old with a battery capacity at 91% which means I can perfectly run it for the next year with flying colors. And if I replace the battery, I can add about 2 more years. You can use an iPhone for 4 years and be on the latest iOS version. Nowadays, Android counterparts have started claiming 5+ years of updates. We will check about that! What about hardware? Well, these pictures you see are the latest as of April 2025! You can be a better judge for that! With an iPhone, you can be free for the next 4+ years if you don’t care about the latest and greatest ideology. #13 IP68 Water Proof When I bought this phone, TBH I did not care about the IP numbers. But there have been SO MANY incidents where I’ve been stuck under heavy rain and had no place to keep the phone other than my jeans pocket, this phone has managed very well. Apple iPhone 13 is IP 68 rated, This means the phone can be submerged up to 6 feet beneath water for about 30 minutes and will not cause any harm. Sure, no one will intentionally do that, but it gives assurance that if it falls in the swimming pool or somewhere in the rain or hotel tub, the phone will be fine and usable. Apart from the iPhone 13, a few smartphones offer an IP 68 rating like Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Motorola Edge 40 Neo, Samsung Galaxy S24, and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Should You Buy Apple iPhone 13 in 2025? After spending 2 years and planning to do 2 more, iPhone 13 makes sense. Everything is good be it built quality, looks, in-hand feel, camera, cal quality, WIFI reception, performance, battery backup, gaming experience, etc. If it’s going to be your first iPhone, you are going to start with a good one. There is no major issue with an iPhone 13 in 2025 other than…
  • Are BoAt Airdopes Durable? Opinion After Using 20+ Airdopes!
Let’s say you are looking for a good tws earphone and found great deals on BoAt Airdopes. You must be wondering; are BoAt Airdopes durable? How long can I use it? or maybe you should try other brands? We are more than qualified to answer this question as we’ve owned and compared 20+ BoAt Airdopes. Based on our experience we have an answer for you! Before getting into the article, we would like to inform you that whatever you read on Padhkedekho is the feedback of our editorial team. No brand has any control over us. Our only objective is to provide you with honest and customer-centric reviews that can ultimately help you choose better products. That being said let’s get started with the 4 essential factors while choosing an Audio gear brand. #1 Built Quality After using dozens of Airdopes like BoAt Airdopes 121v2, BoAt Airdopes 141, BoAt Airdopes 144, BoAt Airdopes 161, BoAt Airdopes 441, BoAt Airdopes 441 Pro, BoAt Airdopes 621, etc it’s evident that the earbuds have good built quality. The silicone ear tips offer a good grip and are comfortable. Though the overall construction of all the above Airdopes is plastic still doesn’t have any harsh or rough edges that can damage your ears. But the ones around 1000 Rs have a slightly flimsy carry case and closing lid. For context, I will put BoAt Airdopes 121v2 here. The carry cum charge case has a little filmy lid. But this doesn’t mean it’s bad. I’ve been personally using BoAt Airdopes 121v2 (review) for a year now and it’s in great condition. So in terms of built quality, BoAt offers a good product that can be used for years. #2 After-Sale Support? After-sale is something that many take lightly and repent after a few months. As we love to try new brands and their products after-sale support is quite important as we are putting our hard-earned money into this. We’ve owned many products from BoAt and a few needed service too. For e.g. BoAt Rockerz 255, a Bluetooth neckband that was 11 months old when we realized that the battery backup has gone down a bit. And also due to extended use, wax & gunk accumulated and damaged the net of the right Earbud. Since it was in warranty and got service and BoAt was kind enough to replace the earphone. Since BoAt was unaware of the blog they treated us like a regular customer. If you want to know every detail of my BoAt service experience then you can read it here. Also, there’s a procedure to get service. Hence do check that out too. Don’t worry, it will open in a new tab. So read this and then switch to the other one. Not just that, one of our readers, had an issue with low volume with BoAt Stone 200 speaker in Dehradun. BoAt replaced that too within a week when the Second wave of Covid-19 was still going. If you are in big cities like Delhi or Chandigarh, then you can experience great service. But in small cities or when the service center is in a different city you have to keep your patience. Hence in terms of service, BoAt will not disappoint. # 3Trust on Products Let’s say you are buying a new car and you are getting a 5-year and 1 lakh kilometers warranty. How does it feel? It will certainly feel great. This not only benefits the customer but also shows the trust that the brand has in its products. Psst… that’s how a brand retains itself. In the same way, you can find a diverse range of Apple-certified MFI cables under 2000 Rs. But BoAt gives a 2-year “no-question ask” warranty on BoAt LTG500 cable (review). Even AmazonBasics gives 1-year warranty. So longer warranty means an extended period of peace of mind. That’s how customers also gain trust in the brand and the other products in the line-up. #4 Social Presence It can be very frustrating when any brand’s service station stops picking up calls. It’s that time when a customer starts to worry and feels “victim” and knocking on the doors of consumer court or perhaps Twitter! if you can relate this to any other brand, then don’t worry BoAt is very different. When I had an issue with boAt I didn’t take the Twitter route as I wanted to act like a regular non-techy customer. But even if you go and read tweets and replies from the brand, you will see all the tweets even how bad they are within a day. Some brands just have a Twitter account to show the public that they are online but never revert to your queries and complaints. Here’s an example of Mivi support. Even today, I have not received a revert even though the earbuds are back and working fine. My service experience with Mivi was a roller coaster ride even then I recommend their products as service is something that gets changed with feedback. If you want to live the thiller moments read the detailed service experience here. For us, a brand’s social presence is very important and if a brand is active on Twitter it means “they care” for the customers. I personally know some readers who are introverts who cant talk to customer service. For those people, Twitter is a platform where they can directly reach out to a team that is quick and gets the query resolved as soon as possible. BoAt is among the brands that we can recommend to our readers of social presence means a lot to you. Wrapping up There you have it, folks! After using more than 10 BoAt Airdopes we can recommend you buy BoAt Airdopes. So to answer the question, are BoAt Airdopes durable? Then yes, BoAt Airdopes are quite durable and can be used for many years. Since all the ones we own are around 1 year old and are working fine. Thus, we can confidently say for about 2 years you are good to go with BoAt Airdopes. If you want to know which one we have bought and used then you can find those in the reviews & comparisons sections. Got queries about any Airdopes? Then feel free to reach us on any social account below. We love to help our readers! • Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 Rs! The Best Out of The Rest!
We recently visited a renowned electronics store and were blown away by how the sales reps were making fools of customers by recommending them laptops that will not work for even 2 years! 30000 RS is not a bad budget, you can get a decent laptop granted you are not going to play games or heavy-duty tasks like streaming 4K content, etc. So in this article, we are sharing with you the things to look out for before buying a 30000 Rs laptop. In other words, a laptop buying guide under 30000 Rs. We are sure if you are buying your first laptop you will be very confident in your decision. All the options below are decent performers and can help you achieve your daily needs of internet browsing, Entertainment (other than Gaming), and working with Google Docs, Office 365, or even Microsoft Office Suite. Note: If you wish to extract the best value under 32,000 Rs then do check out the Acer Aspire One Lite 11th i3 variant with 512GB SSD storage. We bought it 3 months ago and it’s a remarkable purchase so far. Here’s a link for the detailed review. Also, we have recommended our favorite picks that you can check out. With that said, welcome to PadhkeDekho, and let’s begin the laptop buying guide under 30000 Rs in India 2024 Edition. #1: Processor It’s the main component that provides power to your laptop. Their performance is evaluated in Ghz. In a general sense, the higher the GHz the better the performance will be. And things can go even better if the processor is dual or even quad-core. I.e. set of 2 processors or 4 or even 8! AMD and Intel are two big players and mostly in laptops, you will see either one. They are quite head-to-head in performance. But many AMD processors are APU which means they not only provide raw performance but also better graphical performance making them ideal on the budget. For context, AMD’s Ryzen 3 series is quite comparable with Intel’s I3 processors in a border sense. Since Intel I3 laptops cost more than 30,000 Rs. So, with that budget in mind, you can go with Rygen 3 for the best performance. If you are exclusively looking for Intel processors then you can also consider laptops from the below list. Brand Processor & Power Best Buy Link Acer One 14 AMD Ryzen 3 (3250U)2.6 GHz Base Speed, 3.5 GHz Turbo Speed, 2 Cores,4MB Cache Memory Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 Dual Core Intel Celeron N40201.1 Ghz Base Speed, 2.8 GHz Turbo Speed, 2 Core,4MB Cache Memory Amazon HP 247 G8 AMD Ryzen 3 3250U2.6 GHz Base Speed, 3.5 GHz Turbo Speed, 2 Cores,4MB Cache Memory Amazon HP Chromebook 11A MediaTek MT81Up to 2 GHz Turbo Speed, 8 Cores,L1 64KB Cache Memory Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 Intel Celeron N4500 Amazon Lenovo V15 Intel Celeron N45001.1 Ghz Base Speed, 2.8 GHz Turbo Speed, 2 Cores,4 MB Cache Memory Amazon #2 Upgradable Let’s say at the moment you have a small budget but after a few months, things will change and you will have money to buy a new laptop. But, think about it. Do you need to buy a new one or how about upgrading the one you already have? It will not only save you money but also let you avoid the hassle of copying and pasting your data on multiple pen drives and then reinstalling all of your software! So what can you upgrade on a laptop? Well, you can buy more storage for your data or files. Upgrade the RAM for faster processing, or even upgrade the processor for more heavy tasks. The possibilities are endless. How can you upgrade laptops? To start with, you have two options; either your laptops’ brand support or visiting a nearby IT market in your city. So now you know what you can upgrade and who will help but it will only happen if your laptop supports upgrading! With upgradability in mind, these 6 laptops below are the best possible options under 30000 Rs. Some are even maxed out to their full potential by the brand! Brand RAM Upgradble Best Buy Link Acer One 14 8GB, DDR4 Yes, Up to 32GB Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 4GB, DDR4 Yes, Up to 8GB Amazon HP 247 G8 8GB, DDR4 Yes, Up to 16GB Amazon HP Chromebook 11A 4GB, LPDDR4 Maxed Out Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 8GB, DDR4 Maxed Out Amazon Lenovo V15 8GB, DDR4 Maxed Out Amazon Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 #3 Operating System Nowadays laptops come with Windows 11 or Chrome OS. You will also see some listings with MS-DOS. Don’t worry you can always get a copy of Windows from the Microsft website. Or you can install Chrome OS or even any Linux distro. if you don’t know Chrome OS is your Gmail account and all the Google services that you use are already using daily on your phone. So if your daily work is based on Google Docs, Google Search, YouTube, or Google Meet then it’s better to go with a Chrome Book. Chrome OS brings a lot of advantages, especially on a budget under 30,000 Rs. First, they feel fast. Second, they are lightweight and compact. Third, their battery backup is unmatched by a budget Windows laptop. If it’s so good then what are the issues or cons? It does not support Windows executable files (.EXE) files. It can only cater to your cloud or online software support. Does this mean no MS Office support? if you are talking about MS Office Suite 19 or installable software then yes it will not support it. But you can always buy an Office 365 subscription or use it free with a Microsoft or Outlook account. So if you are dependent on 3rd party software then going with Windows 11 will be a better choice. Most of the laptops below come with the latest version of Windows 11 and 1 option for Chrome OS too. Brand OS Best Buy Link Acer One 14 Windows 11 Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 Windows 11 Amazon HP 247 G8 MS-DOS Amazon HP Chromebook 11A Chrome OS Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 Windows 11 Amazon Lenovo V15 Windows 11 Amazon Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 #4 Graphic Card Graphics memory is very important when you will be playing games or graphic intensive work like photo or video editing. Some brands give integrated graphics while others have dedicated graphics memory. What’s the difference? Integrated graphics are the bare minimum and are meant to provide Operating Systems’ minimum requirements. This means the integrated graphics memory will make sure to provide enough graphics to allow animations via the Operating Systems. Under 30,000 Rs you will not find laptops with dedicated graphics cards anymore. So you are left with integrated graphics memory. Below are the best options for your graphical needs. Brand GPU Type Model Best Buy Link Acer One 14 Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 Amazon HP 247 G8 Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics Amazon HP Chromebook 11A Integrated Meditek Integrated Graphics Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 Amazon Lenovo V15 Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 Amazon Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 #4 Storage Storage is of 2 types HDD (Hard Disc Drive) and SSD (Solid State Drive) and both have their pros and cons. Generally, HDDs are cheap to buy, with more storage than SSDs but lack speed. While SSDs are compact and performance is no match with a traditional HDD it’s expensive. Nowadays, on a budget of 30,000 Rs, you can get a laptop with 256 or even 500GB SSD. So prefer that over a laptop with 1TB HDD. Sure 1TB sounds like a lot of storage but it’s HDD and it’s very slow in comparison to SSD. What to do if I have a lot of files let’s say 700 GB? Even then, go with a laptop with an SSD and get a portable HDD for your heavy files of movies or games. Why? Let us explain! Since under 30,000 Rs, the best processor we can get is a Ryzen 3 which is a good performer. But to extract the best performance, you need faster storage like SSD instead of a slow one which is a traditional HDD. if you go with an HDD, it will put pressure on processing, and ultimately, the laptop will get slow and hang quite often. So buy a laptop with SSD and get an external HHD for all your content. Here are the best laptops under 30000 Rs that offer the best storage options. Brand Storage Type/Size Best Buy Link Acer One 14 SSD, 256GB Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 SSD, 256GB Amazon HP 247 G8 SSD, NVMe 512GB Amazon HP Chromebook 11A eMMC, 64GB Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 SSD, 256GB Amazon Lenovo V15 SSD, 256GB Amazon Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 #5 Screen Size Laptops under 30000 Rs come in different scene sizes. It starts from 11 inches to 15.6. So which is the ideal screen size? It all depends on the use case if you are a video editor you would like to have a 15.6 or bigger screen size as panning through the video timeline will be more convenient. Also, if you are an accountant you would need the Num Pad. Usually, Num Pad is seen on laptops with 15.6-inch screens. Another way to look at it is portability. Carrying around a 15.6-inch laptop will be heavy and uncomfortable to use on the go. So if you are going to use it on the go then getting an 11-inch screen or 14 inches will be better. With that in mind, here are 6 options with different screen sizes that you can check out. Brand Screen Size Resolution Best Buy Link Acer One 14 14-Inch HD 1366X768 Amazon Asus Vivobook 15 15.6-inch HD 1366X768 Amazon HP 247 G8 14-inch HD 1366X768 Amazon HP Chromebook 11A 11.6-inch HD 1366X768 Amazon Asus Vivibook 14 14-inch 1366X768 Amazon Lenovo V15 15.6-inch FHD 1920X1080 Amazon Laptop Buying Guide Under 30000 Wrapping Up! • On ear vs Over ear Headphones Comparison!
On Ear VS Over Ear Headphones Differences #1 Basic Difference The major difference between on-ear headphones vs over-ear headphones is the size/weight and overall form factor. #3 Portability The over-ear headphones have bigger audio drivers, battery size, extra padding, and more hardware and features. #4 Comfort & Convenience Comfort, in general, depends on where you are planning to use your audio gear. #5 Clamping Force In the #1 Basic Differences, we talked a little about clamping force and what effects it brings in day-to-day life. #6 Audio Quality Is there any difference between on-ear vs over-ear headphones’ audio quality? #7 Battery Backup Since Over-ear headphones have bigger batteries their battery claims are even bigger! There you have it folks! • Infinity Service Experience in India! Pleasantly Shocking Incident!
We were scheduled to publish the Infinity Tranz 710 review. Unfortunately, after 1 month of testing, the headphones gave up and were not accepting any form of charging. Be it via laptop, PC, or wall charger. This has happened to us for the first time using products from Infinity in the last 4 years. So this allowed us to test and see the Infinity Service Experience! So how was our experience? Were they aware that a Tech blog is requesting service? How was the overall experience? Well, here’s everything, including the total in and out procedure. TDLR: No, they were unaware of whom they were dealing with. Second, we got no special treatment; we waited for our number, talked to the employees, explained the issue, and got the job sheet created. So if you are wondering how your infinity service experience will be? then this article is for you. With that said, welcome to PadhkeDekho, and let’s get started. Note: Just like this, we’ve also experienced service with Apple, BoAt & Mivi. You can check that out by clicking on any of the prior links. #1 The Cause So on Aug 10, 2023, we got our brand new Infinity Tranz 710 in Blue color. We started testing it out and everything was going as it should be. if you don’t know, at PadhkeDekho, we test a product for a month before sharing our feedback. With the only objective of helping readers like you get the best, authentic insights that only come with proper testing. Unfortunately, just before publishing the article, the headphones stopped charging. All modes like via laptop, PC, wall socket, etc. did not help. The issue was it would begin charging and just after 15 seconds it would stop the glowing RED LED and turn it off. Which means it stopped the charging. So at this time, we thought to visit the Infinity website and see what options we’ve. there we got their WhatsApp support number. More about it in the #2 Communication section. #2 The Communication On their website dedicated to India, you will see options; you can call or drop a line on WhatsApp. We chose the latter and here’s how the communication took place. Do keep in mind the time stamps as they are quite crucial when you are worried and don’t know what will happen. With my issue of not charging, the service person advised me to reset the headphones. Seems like Infinity Tranz 710 has a different method of resetting. Since troubleshooting did not work, they asked me to drop the product at their collection center in the city. Before that, they took some of my information (can be different than the order’s bill) like your name, address, area pin code, Whatsapp calling number with an alternative contact number, and also the color of the device. With all that information they gave me the address and contact number of an Infinity collection center in Dehradun! Since we were free, we went ahead and did not waste a single minute. Luckily, he saved my time and sped up the processor by simply carrying the hard copy of the bill. Here’s the chat. #3 The Offline Resolution So now I am in the service station which happens to be the collection point for Nokia, Motorola, Realme, Xiaomi, etc smartphone brands. If you are also from Dehradun then you might be familiar with M/S Mehta Watch Company. Since the center closes at 7 I reached there around 6 PM. Upon entering there was a token machine but there was no one near it. I asked the girl on the counter about Infinity headphone service, she asked me to come have a seat. There were a few customers with other smartphone issues and some were there to collect their repaired/replaced devices. Due to that, I had to wait for 20ish minutes at the same time she asked me whether I had the hard copy of the bill. I said yes and then she asked to keep the invoice ready in email as she will need it to generate OTP. The waiting time was utilized while finding the soft copy of the Amazon invoice. As there as so many orders to check and confirm! Then came my turn, I told her about my communication with Infinity WhatsApp chat and she then asked about the issue. I told the issue. And she checked it and accepted the problem. With that said, she asked me to fill in personal details with the address where you need the device back. Then she entered the details on the PC and asked me to confirm. I did that and then she took and filed the duplicate bill with the job sheet and handed me to sign. Meanwhile, She asked for an OTP that I got via Email. Just after that, got a message from Infinity that your complaint has been registered for repair and replacement. She also told me that the replacement will reach your premises within 10 to 11 business days (Saturday and Sunday do not count). So this concludes my first and only visit to the Infinity service center in Dehradun. Let’s talk about the courier experience. #4 Courier Experience When we were about to leave the store, got a message on WhatsApp “that your complaint is registered”. The very next morning, Wed 20 Sep, got a message that your “order is ready to be dispatched“! Like seriously! It was hard to believe. You can check the below screenshot. Also, as of Fri, 22 Sep, the product was delivered. On the message was the tracking ID of the Criticallog Website. Logging into the website was very easy just put in the tracking code and all the information is there. No Ads or signups are required. Sweet! We were keeping track of the status every day since we dropped it off and got it back, it was the third day when it was delivered to our doorstep by evening around 5. He took my name and signatures on the job sheet that they had a copy of and off he went. Upon opening the plastic box, we were happy as well as shocked! Happy as the product was new and sealed packed as Infinity headphones come. But shocked as the product received was different from what we gave in for service. We gave an Infinity Tranz 710 in Blue color and received an Infinity Tranz 700 in Black! More about it in #6 Different Product Delivered! #5 Store/Service Center Experience Though the service station was close to our office, I went there upon making the call. The girl ( I could not get her name) was kind enough to guide me as I prefer public transport. I was at the pickup point for about 20 minutes. Which is not bad; the seating was well-lit, air-conditioned, silent atmosphere. As shared in the #4 Courier experience, the replacement parcel reached me within 3 days of submitting. This was remarkable, as the courier was coming from Bengaluru to Dehradun. So within, 3 days we got a brand new sealed box of Infinity headphones and we couldn’t be any happier. This is the fastest we have ever received a replacement for Dehradun from Bengaluru. Hence Infinity Service’s experience so far was on point. But they messed up a little! I’ve had experience with MIVI which also has a service plant in Bengaluru. Their consignments do take more than 5 to 6 business days, Whereas, Infinity impressed us there! #6 Different Product Delivered! So we were quite happy upon unboxing the wrapping and were shocked after seeing a brand new Infinity Tranz 700 in Black color! Since it was a little late we pinged Infinity WhatsApp support and got no reply. We waited till morning when we dropped a Hi and then we became busy reviewing the Portronics TOAD 2 (A wireless mouse that can connect to three devices) (Review)! The communication started in the afternoon and this is what we got as a reply! Since they did not have Infinity Tranz 710 in Blue in stock they dispatched a brand new Trenz 700 to avoid delay in transport. We understand that, as we got the delivery within 3 days. But it was a bummer as there was no communication regarding the same. If we were aware of it then things would not have been shocking! So what’s your take on this? Well, if you have given some product into service that’s for sure you will most likely be receiving a new product. However, the model can be different. I don’t know how you will take this, but since Tranz 700 and 710 are more or less of the same price category headphones we do not mind this or consider this as a bad call! One of our readers also shared his experience on Twitter. He gave Infinity Glide 120 for service as the mic stopped working. Though the neckband was in the 11th month of ownership, Infinity gave him a brand-new but different model which is the Infinity Glide N120. Maybe they did not have the exact models or they did it intentionally but one thing is sure they will give you a new device. Wrapping up! So what do we think of Infinity Service in India? Well, it’s a smooth sailing boat. You reach them on WhatsApp. Raise your complaint. Visit the collection point and hand over a physical bill copy and the defective product. Via courier, you will get a new product. If they have the exact model in stock you will be lucky and if not you will be getting a new one which can be a different product but the category will be the same. Like if you have given a neckband you will get a neckband. So how good or bad was Infinity service? We’d say it’s not bad. For the price of the product, they are offering replacement that too with a new device means the brand is serious for the customers. Believe me, not all brands are like this!
