BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 Pros And Cons
PROS
- Good built quality
- 3 color options
- Glossy design over Matte
- Bass-heavy sound profile
- Great call quality
- Supports Hearables app
- Great gaming experience
- Maraton battery backup
CONS
- No volume control
- No dual equalizer
Built Quality 4.5/5

In terms of built, Gen 2 does feel like an upgrade, specifically in terms of built. In the BoAt Airdopes 141 review, we talked about how the case is strong, while the buds have a flimsy body.
Similarly, the case is quite strong; there are no squeaky or harsh edges of the case or the buds. But the buds have improved from the last time.
The magnetic connections are also powerful. The case holds the buds quite well. The clip on the case is quite good, too. One-handed operation is easily possible on the BoAt Airdopes Gen 2.
The satisfying click sound is present, but the hinge feels very soft; as a result, it is not very strong, but when it is about to close, the case offers a satisfying click sound.
Looks 4/5

In terms of looks, both are very different. BoAt Airdopes 141 is all matte while the Gen 2 is glossy. Even the color theme is also different.
So, with BoAt Airdopes 141, you don’t need any case or covers as it attracts fewer scratches. Whereas Gen 2 is meant to be used with care. The case is recommended.
Also, in terms of design, both are different. Where Airdopes 141 case is thicker and taller, while the 141 Gen 2 is wider and less taller.
In terms of looks and design, 141 is simple and blends in; the Gen 2 attracts attention. Similarly, the buds have a different form factor too. Along with the design language.
Somebody has done their job perfectly! Hence, in terms of looks, both are good, and it’s your call to pick one.
Grip (4.5/5) And Comfort (4/5)

Just like most of the earbuds, both are suitable for medium to large ears. For small ears you can go with earbuds with half in-ear design.
So, let’s talk about grip. These earbuds snug fits and out of the box with the medium earbuds they form the best grip. You can try the other ear tips to find the best optimal option to use.
I do weight training, cardio, jogging, running and these earbuds get my approval. Even with sweat these do not loosen up.
In terms of comfort the earbuds are good. You can wear these for 3-4 hours or longer based on your listening habits or needs.
The earbuds equipped with a perfect fit ear tip can make your experience quite good.
Another good thing about these buds is that the earbuds properly seal the ear canal making it provide better noise cancellation. You can say about 20 to 30% just with the construction.
Generally speaking, earbuds with ANC+transparency mode can be worn for longer hours without the need of taking the buds off.

BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 Features 4/5
BoAt Airdopes 141 brought a revolution. It offered so many features and a price so irresistible and bass-heavy sound signature that made it the top-selling TWS of 2023 and 2024!
While the new BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 does bring the essential upgrades. Here are some major ones.
#1 Bluetooth 5.4: Though there was no issue with the Airdopes 141 in terms of range and network disturbance. With time, BoAt went to upgrade, and it’s a nice addition!
#2 10mm drivers: This 2mm jump on both the earbuds does make a difference and makes it great for bass heads! More about it in the audio quality breakup!
#3 BoAt’s Hearable app support: BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 supports BoAt’s Hearable app, which is available for free on Android as well as iOS devices.
#4 Better Fast Charging Support: With BoAt Airdrops 141 Gen 2, ASAP charge or quick charge, has been improved. With just 10 minutes of charging, you can use the buds for about 3 hours. Which is more than 2 times the OG Airdopes 141. More about the battery section below.
#5 Quad Mic Setup: 141 had a dual mic, and the call quality was decent. However, with the Gen 2 quad mic, things have improved to an extent that you can use these for professional calls as well. I’ve included more about it in the mic test below.
#6 IPX4 Water resistance: BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 comes equipped with IPX4 water resistance, hence you can be assured that some water sprinkles or sweat, or light rain can’t stop you from working out. Still, don’t submerge them in deep waters it can damage the earbuds.
BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 Sound Quality 4.5/5

The specialty of BoAt is the availability of different sizes of audio drivers. For context, this one has 10mm drivers. Which is not the biggest in the segment, but the main question is how they sound?
Over the last 1 month, I have tested these with different playlists, like my favorites and others recommended by the team.
So yes, if you are a bass head, you will enjoy music here. Be it at any volume, there is no audio distortion, which is surprising, as BoAt gets backlash for it.
Bass is certainly overpowering to treble, but vocals stay sharp and full of detail. So, listening to strong bass songs or vocal-centric podcasts, you will enjoy both.
Also, while media consumption, the experience is also good with immersive bass and vocals.
Next to some earbuds, the treble can be felt a little less.
Some product listening on Amazon or even BoAts website say it has dual EQ modes, as normal and BoAt Signature profile; however, there is only one default EQ, which can’t be changed.
Here’s the screenshot from BoAt`s website but the earbuds don’t have the functionality.
So to sum up with the stock EQ, I would give 4.5/5 to bass, 4/5 to vocals, and 3.5/5 to treble.
BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 Mic Output 4.5/5

If you are looking for tws earbuds with good call quality then BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 needs you attention!
We have tested many earbuds under 1000 Rs and here are our best ones and this earbud is a new addition.
Thanks to the quad mic setup on each earbuds. Unlike others in this price range, BoAt has done an incredible job this time.
If you have read our article about the BoAt Airdopes 141 (Review), we said that the mic was decent.
However, with this Gen 2, BoAt has raised the bar. On the scale of 1 to 5, I can confidently give it 4.5.
There’s also ENx technology to cut down on the ambient noise. It works, but hardly! As a result, you get unedited call quality. Your voice will stay in focus and quite crisp to the other person on the call.
Trust me, most people love it as it keeps the bass and treble of your vocals instead of just muffled noise.
So, to sum up the mic output, here’s 4.5/5.
Battery Backup & Charging (4/5)

BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 has a 450 mAh case, while the buds have 40 mAh each. BoAt claims 48 hours of battery backup. So what’s it gonna be?
To be honest, we were surprised via the battery backup.
Under heavy load like 100% volume, gaming with BEAST mode, calling and team meetings with a daily use case of about 4 hours, these buds can go for 15 to 18 days.
If you keep volume below 80% these buds can cross 20 hours of battery backup.
On a single go, these buds claim to provide juice for about 8 hours and I have tested it for about 5 hours and the buds lost only 40% battery.
So, in terms of battery backup, BoAt never disappoints and BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 is a strong contender.
As far as charging goes, BoAt recommends 5 watts 2 amp charging which is industry standard and the charging time will be around 1:30 hours to 2 hours.
With such battery backup you would not need to charge it frequently though. Hence, we give 4/5
Gaming Quality (4.5/5)

If you are using the Airdopes 141 then Gen 2 is certainly better. Overall experience will be good.
Just recently I have upgraded my multimedia phone from Moto G51 to Moto G96 and time is spent more on gaming!
Let’s talk about that.
BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 comes with BEAST mode which is a fancy name for gaming mode where latency is claimed to be lowered. All brands do that.
As per BoAt the latency is up to 65ms. With this one, things do improve and it’s quite noticeable when BEAST mode is enabled.
So, latency is very well managed. I spent most of my time with COD mobile and it’s good. Delay of audio while shooting is not noticeable.
Left and right distribution is quite well. Enemy foot steps are easily tracked and this increases the possibility of being an MVP in COD Mobile!
I did not have any issues or latency or even delay. My overall gaming experience has been good with these.
For a casual gamer or a little serious one who cares about ranking and tier level events then this can be a good one. It is quite good as any wireless earphone can be.
Some Myths & Wrong Information
Okay. BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 is newly launched (Oct 2025), and there is so much promotional information available, or videos by creators done in colab, which has not yet been tested thoroughly.
First of all, the BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 does support BoAt’s Hearables app. When it was launched, it did not support it. Here’s a screenshot of the app on an Android device.

Second, there is no dual EQ present. There are some references on the BoAt website, but no mention of how to switch between the EQs. Maybe it will be passed on via OTA update?

Pressing and holding the left earbud for 3 seconds activates the voice assistant, and doing the same on the right earbud activates BEAST mode.
Also, the box of 141 Gen 2, as well as the user manual, has no mention of dual EQ or the app support. So, do keep these things in mind.
With Airdopes 141 Gen 2, all you have is the BoAt signature sound, which works well on this particular Airdopes. Here’s a list of our picks of the best BoAt Airdopes.
AI of Google & Microsoft made it so feature-packed that I could not believe the deal. Or maybe they will be enabled later? If anything changes, we will surely update the article.
Who is It for?
If you are on a tight budget and looking for earbuds with good audio quality, focus on a bass-heavy sound signature while maintaining a distortion-free experience at any volume.
Another solid reason will be the mic performance or call quality. TBH, it has one of the best call quality experiences under 1000 Rs.
BoAt Airdopes 141 Gen 2 is perfect for someone who doesn’t want any battery anxiety. BoAt claims up to 48 hours of overall playtime and up to 8 hours of regular use. Which makes it quite good.
For most people, the bright and meaningful LED battery indicator will be a nice addition. It’s actually more informative than one LED light.
All the brands claim low latency, but some actually deliver good gaming performance, and Boat Airdopes 141 Gen 2 does that. It is quite noticeable when BEAST mode is activated. It is so spontaneous that it will impress any gamer out there.
Who is it not for?
Somebody who is looking for ANC earbuds on a budget. And secondly, the ability to switch between EQ modes for a better listening experience.
Other than ANC, you can get all of the above with Soundcore R50i (our review) under 1000 Rs. You can check it out too.
Wrapping Up!
After 1 month of testing, I think it’s a good TWS from BoAt, which actually sounds good without any audio distortion. Be it any genre you play on these. Touch-responsive buttons work quite well, too.
For me, the best part is the microphone performance thanks to the quad mic on each earbud and 10mm drivers for amazing audio quality.
Marathon battery backup plus under 2 hours charging, making it a long-lasting TWS under 1000 Rs.
To sum up, we are more than satisfied with these and can recommend them to anyone looking for a good earbuds under 1000 Rs.
