In terms of built quality, both the Airdopes are made up of plastic. But it’s BoAt Airdopes 141 that has a slightly better build of the carry/charge case. The hinges of the Airdopes 141 have some amount of resistance which is good. Whereas, Airdopes 121v2’s hinges have very less resistance.
But when it comes to the earbuds themselves, both are fantastic and you will not find a single harsh edge or plastic. Good job by BoAt in this department. Even the buds don’t squeak noise.
So if you need a better magnet mechanism then BoAt Airdopes 141 is better by 30 percent.
Look & Feel
Here you’ll find the biggest difference. But before jumping to the dissimilarities let’s have a look at the resemblance that both shares. It is the inclusion of silicone ear tips and good design language. As a result, both of the Airdopes offer great grip and can be used for walking, jogging, and even lightweight workout.

After spending more than a year with BoAt Airdopes 121v2 and a few weeks with Airdopes 141, I can not only tell you the difference but also which one is ideal for what type of listers!
if you are concerned about the technical specifications then both Airdopes have 8mm, audio drivers. So they are not very different from each other.
For instance, switching back and forth between the two, you will hardly notice any difference. This is a good thing actually!
Why is it good? Because you’ll get very balanced audio quality in these. No overpowering bass, crystal clear audio, vocals, and treble. Even hitting the full volume you will not find any audio distortion, however, it depends on the sound quality that you are listing to. i.e. 320 kbps audio will be much clear than 120 kbps.
Generally, premium audio services like Amazon Music, Spotify, Ganna Plus, Apple Music offer studio-type (320 kbps) audio quality. if you own any of these, you will have a great time with both of them.

The biggest feature of Airdopes 141 next to 121v2 is the inclusion of touch controls. This not only helps with inconvenience but also doesn’t push the earbuds inside your ear canal. Though it doesn’t pain on Airdopes 121v2 however, the placement does get a little uncomfortable.
Here I would like to mention that the touch controls do take about half a second to record the command. Whereas on 121V2 it’s almost instant. So you need comfort or instant command; your choice!
The next biggest Feature of Airdopes 141 is IPX4 water resistance. Which is clearly missing on Airdopes 121v2. So you can be a little less worried while sweating or in some rain. I do wear both of these on routine while working out or jogging both of these handle sweat very well. But a better peace of mind comes with BoAt Airdopes 141.
BoAt Airdopes 141 has one more feature up its sleeve and that’s support for fast charging. Thanks to the USB type-c support. It’s a bummer that Airdopes 121v2 still comes with a micro USB slot. if you are serious about gaming, then I bring some bad news in this context. Both the Airdopes have a high amount of latency that will not help you in fast pace games. For gaming, I would personally advise you to go with wired options for better results. So for gaming, both of these get a big no!

After using both devices, I’ve reached my conclusion. Both the Airdopes are very similar yet quite different! Let me explain.
The audio quality is almost similar, the Bluetooth 5.0 performance is at par, silicone ear tips for better comfort, the good battery life on the buds as well as the carry case. So as per similarities, one can go with any of these and will not have any issues.
But the differences, which seem little on paper, do make a lot of sense in real life. For e.g. Airdopes 141 offers touch/capacitive controls to take care of multimedia needs. Whereas, Airdopes 121v2 have physical buttons. Secondly, IPX4 water resistance does make a lot of difference. Unfortunately, Airdopes 121v2 doesn’t offer any water resistance.
Another big difference is support for fast charging. On BoAt Airdopes 141 you can get up to 1 hour of listing with just 5 mins of charge. BoAt call it ASAP charging. Whereas, BoAt Airdopes 121v2 doesn’t support fast charge. Hence it takes time to charge.
