BoAt Airdopes 91 is like any other tws, and that’s plastic. Unlike others, the plastic used is durable, and the TWS can have a long life if used carefully.
There are no squeaky panels per se, no hinge noise while opening or closing the lid. But the case lid has a little movement, which is to be expected for the price.
Whereas buds are strong and durable. Like the case, the buds are firm with no flimsy or sharp edges. Hence, the buds will be comfortable to wear for long hours.
So, BoAt Airdopes 91 is good in terms of build quality as per the price, we would give it 8.5/10.
Looks (9/10)
BoAt Airdopes 91 has a textured design, which looks good on the top of the case and on the buds. You can feel it too!
Otherwise, the overall design is matte without glossy panels on the case or the buds. Do you prefer glossy or matte? Confused about which is better? Here’s a little breakdown.
Matte keeps fingerprint marks away, while glossy hides the scratches better. So, to prevent damage, you can buy skins via Amazon.
On the front of the case is a beautiful design with a White LED light, which shows the battery and charging status. When the case has a lower battery, the White LED starts to blink. On the other hand constant White LED means enough charging.
Like any other TWS, the buds have the Red and Blue LEDS. So, for looks, BoAt Airdopes 91 gets a 9/10.
Comfort and Grip? (9/10)
If you are looking for a comfortable pair of TWS that you can wear for long hours and take them to the gym or running sessions, then BoAt Airdopes 91 can be the one!
The fit is snug, and the buds naturally restrict about 20% of ambient noise by themselves without ANC!
So will they fit you? It depends! Do you prefer the earbuds with silicone or half-in-ear like the Apple AirPods 2?
If you like earbuds with silicone tips, you should go with Airdopes 91. You also get 2 additional pairs of ear tips.

BoAt has kept gamers in mind, too! With BEAST MODE, the latency is about 50 ms, which makes gaming a pleasant experience (here’s gaming feedback).

BoAt Airdopes 91 Audio Quality (8.5/10)
We have tested more than 20 BoAt Airdopes, and most are decent, but good ones are there too! Here are some of our recommendations on the list!
What makes BoAt Airdopes 91 special? Well, the 13mm drivers under 1000 Rs is a nice start. So, what will be the audio quality? Let’s talk about that!
The sound signature is bass-heavy, vocals are clear and crisp, treble is well tuned, as a result, the media will sound very good.
The buds get very loud, too. Staying below 85% volume will be better, as the balance of everything is better.
Beyond that, you will have audio distortion and audio leak due to the higher loudness of the buds.
If you don’t know audio leak happens when audio comes out of the device in the open or the ambient atmosphere.
This doesn’t matter if you are alone, but it means a lot if you are in a public place like the Metro or bus.
What about thumping bass? Yes, it’s there and it’s quite evident. So you can call these bass-heavy TWS earbuds under 1000 Rs. This makes it good for audio needs or media consumption on a budget.
Hence, BoAt Airdopes 91 gets an 8.5/10.
What About Mic Performance? (9/10)
After testing many tws under 1000 Rs, I was about to lose hope with brands offering good call quality other than Mivi, and guess what, BoAt Airdopes 91 saved my hope!
You can use this for personal and professional calls, I can give you that! The mic output is clean and raw with about 20% to 40% less background noise.
Before sharing the review, we took more than 50 calls indoors, outdoors, on the streets, and it did not disappoint us.
Sure, don’t expect it to work like any ANC-equipped TWS. So, background noise like vehicles, construction sites, or utensils being washed will be clear as day!
But the other person will not complain about the quality or sound being distant from the microphone. Therefore, BoAt Airdopes 91 gets a massive 9/10!
Battery Backup & Charging (9/10)
BoAt Airdopes 91 has a compact form factor and packs in 300 mAh batteries. While the buds have 35 mAh each for the earbuds.
The claimed figures are 45 hours overall and up to 6 hours on regular use. For the price, the claims are fine. What about real-time? Okay. Here are some scenarios.
Listening to music at up to 80% volume will lose just 30% battery in a span of 2 hours! On full volume, the buds will drop 40% of battery in 2 hours of use. So with those stated facts, you can easily touch or even cross the 5 hours + battery backup with just the music playback.
If you are a casual user who switches between media consumption and music, you can expect more than 6 hours of juice. With this data and pattern, you can expect about 5+ days of battery backup.
We also tested these for calling, and we hit a mark of 5 hours with calling via Zoom meetings or regular phone calls. So, do not go with the claimed figures, the buds are more than what BoAt is claiming!
As far as charging goes, the case gets fully charged around 1 hour and a few more minutes with a 20-watt charger.
If you’re low on battery, charge the case for 10 minutes, and thanks to quick charge, you will have 1 hour of juice ready on your command.
Hence, to sum up battery backup and charging, we are quite happy with the figures we have recorded. With that, we would give BoAt Airdopes 91 a 9/10.
Gaming With BoAt Airdopes 91? (9/10)
So BEAST MODE with up to 50ms latency. What does this mean? Does it actually make any difference? Let’s talk about it.
We played COD Mobile (80%), COC (50%), BGMI (30%), and some lightweight games to have a basic idea of gaming performance.
The most demanding titles are BGMI and COD Mobile, and the earbuds’ performance is fine. Overall, good experience.
The fire sound, enemies’ footsteps, and overall audio quality is very immersive. The phones used were iPhone 13, iPhone 16, and Moto Edge 40.
If you feel some latency, you would turn Beast mode on every use after putting the buds back in. Turning on the Beast Mode is easy, pressing the CTC button on the right earbud for a few seconds. You will hear an alert confirming the case.
Hence, for gaming, BoAt Airdopes 91 is great, and we would give it 9/10.
Should You Buy BoAt Airdopes 91?
BoAt Airdopes 91 is a good option for someone looking for good audio quality, better call quality, and gaming performance.
Along with that, the battery backup is also good, IWP works very well, BEAST MODE for gaming makes it a sweet option too.
The buds use Bluetooth V5.3, and it’s good too; no audio breaking was witnessed around 5 to 7 metres away from the paired device.
As for design, it’s quite compact, and the matte design makes it look premium. For a price of 800 Rs, it’s an easy recommendation. Is it the best?
There are a few things that you should know. First, some amount of audio distortion at max volume is present. You can avoid it by staying around 85% volume.
Second, there’s no app support, so you can’t make changes to any audio profiles or edit controls.
Both the above features are available on Soundcore R50i, which sometimes goes on sale under 1000 Rs while the regular price is around 1400 Rs.
If these two points are not important, going with BoAt Airdopes 91 is a good option under 1000 Rs. Otherwise, Soundcore by Anker R50i is a good alternative.
